Nidud mains, whats yer plans post update

Literally just making these topics for my go to frames so i have a reference lmao.

 

Anyways, what are yall planning to swap in fer our resident parasyte?

Shuriken seems like a good combo with his larva but i also wondered if terrify would be another option. Both armor strip but terrify has cc as well. Wonder if elemental boosts would affect his bugs cause if they do, that be another option 

Itd be nice to finally more than 2 abilities that dont need stacks to work lol

I think the only thing you can remove without gimping the entire frame too much is his 2nd ability (Larva). Can't remove his 1, because then you can never use his 3 or 4. Removing anything else will make stacking take longer. And the whole frame is built around stacks. You can take out his 3 if you really don't care so much about being OP. So yea. Remove the awesome CC if you want, but I would leave him as-is.

@LazarowWell they are separate topic subjects really. Tho if it is an issue i csn just delete em if its a problem 

@RazerXPrime i was thinkin of removing his 4 tbh. It does help building stacks but linking a target and spamming his 1 also gets alot in dense groups. Could always swap it out fer defy for more armor on top of his passive and as a panic button

Might need a new plan, you wont be able to remove his 4th ability

Nidus' 4th feeds off his mutation stacks, a passive exclusive to him. So not only is it his 4th, but its also technically a signature too.

those were their rules for the abilities they were going to allow you to subsume, not the abilities you can replace...

Why would anyone intentionally kneecap themselves by doing this? Good luck getting stacks at a decent rate or trying to make use of the teeming virulence augment.

i think  i would use all of miror instead of larva or maybe ensare idk just for fun

The thing is, you can get stacks just fine with his 1 and 3. Larva them up, link 1 enemy and go wild. The problem i had with his 4 was the fact that the regen part was stationary and while the maggots are nice, they basically dont do dmg and are just there to get him more stacks. Once he hits 100, you cant rlly do anything with em other than not die. 

I can see an argument if you slotted in his augment for 200 stacks but if not(which is what i did) theres zero reason to be too concerned with stacking so much fast. 

Like fer example, while i was testing out sancti magistar on him, i larvad up 8 corrupted heavy gs. Just spamming 1 for about a minute or so after linking got me around 40 stacks. 8 enemies. Sure i could just have did his 4 but with the link and some decent range, i could move around abit with 95 dr. 

Thats how i like to play. Get enough stacks to link and a couple of resses then just go ham with my melee and it works for me.

I tend to not touch his 3 very often without many issues, even in high level play; so I'll probably drop it out just to have something new to play around with when I'm running around doing regular missions, and then switch back to his regular kit if I'm doing a steel path survival or something where I'm not being mobile. 

Save for go-to's like Blood Altar for even more broken survivability or Roar, even though they're nerfing it even more, I can't really think of anything else I'd want for him.  I was really hoping there would be some great synergies with the Helminth Abilities themselves, but none of them really seem to fit Nidus at all...

Look at his kit. If you were to ask me what does he lack, id tell you armor stripping capabilities which on a frame designed around not dying would be handy to have to dispatch the enemies faster and lack of energy based abilities making it so youd need to depend on getting stacks and causing you to go in a loop of using stacks to get stacks, using stacks to get more def, etc.

Hes a good frame dont get me wrong but he was on the edge of becoming something like the old wukong or inaros, a frame that does not die and thats it. If he could armor strip, he can kill things faster without depending on guns, can rip and tear with melee and actually have a build that compliments it or even just build for all around utility.

Remove his 4...... a lot of Nidus new players my god.

 

i would only change his 3 if I picked anything. Even that is an extremely good ability for him though. 

 

Only way way I would change it if other abilities also gave stacks.

 

his kit is just too dependent on its self to function. 

 

OT does any one else feel kills around Nidus should give him 1 stack point? I feel playing with allies can force me to run away from them to just max stacks fast or get to at lest 3 so I can stack faster by my self. If just allies killing around me gave me stacks I could stay by them and get to 3 more easy.
