75% Off Discount For Platinum

n0thinspecial

Question

So .. guys.. i've been given a 75% Off Platinum coupon as a login reward. Is it rare ? And by the looks of it i personally think it's a pretty good deal, and i decided on the 1000p with $12.50 USD, instead of 50$. Do you think it's worth buying this offer ? If yes, monstly on what do you recommend spending the platinum ? Btw i'm a beginner as well, 2-3 weeks or so.

Thanks in advance.

75% off is quite rare indeed. Lucky you! It is a very nice deal to use the 75% on any of the higher-tier packs.

Save that platinum for slots, mostly. If you need to, drop some on potatoes (Orokin Catalyst/Reactor) but I would advise against forma or any weapons/warframes for plat. Most of them are relatively easy to get.

if you think about the future and can afford it, buy the max amount of plat ( 5000 ? ). I did and I'm happy with it.

I mean, i could but i don't know if i'll play like a lot of months/years. I enjoy this game a lot but i'm sure that someday i'll just get bored and moving on with my life.

Umm.. i'm sure .. ? Already bought it.

He is just confused because he is on console.

On console, they only get a discount off like one market purchase or something. The discount structure is totally different.

PC we just get to straight up spend real world cash on gobs and gobs of heavily discounted platinum. You really did get a great deal I'm jelly I haven't seen a 75% in a long time and I've played for years. Just like others said, keep it for slots/reactors/catalysts, etc. Forma you can build easily enough and farm reliably and you are not going to be using a lot early on yet anyways. Don't spend it on cosmetics yet until you decide what stuff you are going to be using a lot later on, also there are so many ways to farm free cosmetics in the game especially from Baro Ki'Teer anyways. Like others said avoid spending it on frames. Unless some frame just really speaks to you and you've watched videos and love it, and you find it's locked behind content that will take you months to get to, just farm the frame yourself -- still wouldn't recommend that at this point, as the truly hard to get frames often require a lot of advanced mods to get the most out of. The vast majority of frames are relatively easy to farm, and most of the rest are only moderately difficult or just have an rng grind but you will get them eventually. Only a few are truly locked behind end game content.

Glad to see new players in the game. I hope you enjoy your experience.

Also, I don't think you need this advice, but to any newer players who might come across this, if you get a chance early on like this to get a lot of platinum, or start off with a prime access or something similar and thus have a lot, do not spend your platinum to rush stuff in the foundry. In fact, no matter how much platinum you have don't do that. It's a terrible waste.

Make sure this is 75% off of the PLATINUM cost for market items, not 75% off real world CASH for PLATINUM. As far as I know, daily rewards logins won't give you the second one.

Console login reward discounts are different, I think, but PC only gets the latter type.

Ye, it's real world CASH for PLATINUM. Not limited to market items.

I've been playing off and  on since 2013 and I've gotten 1 70% discount recently, no 75% discounts (ever) that I can recall. I recommend you spend what you're comfortable spending, so long as it's not going to burn a hole in your poicket - usually the best you'll see is a rare 50%.

Usually you'll see a bunch of 20% discounts afterwards, which I usually ignore...
