Black squares covering my screen

many times during every SINGLE mission randomly these giant black squares pop up and cover 90% my screen for a few seconds during this time i cant see anything but a bit of the right side of my screen the bottom right corner and a bit on the bottom but other then that I'm blind for a few seconds.

for me that is enough to die in missions or fail whatever I was doing (mostly hacking) and these screen blockers roughly blind me regularly 8 times per mission.

I've been messing around with Vauban a bit (as well as display settings) and apparently they popup whenever there's an extremely intense lighting source in your view. In Vauban's case, it's easy to recreate by spamming Vortex (hold 4) and after a few times those black squares appear. They disappear after a few seconds because you have to wait for the light to get less intense over time, but apparently you can "kinda avoid" that by turning off bloom on your display settings. That will cause intense lighting to severely darken your whole view, but at least you won't basically be blind. Can't really say if it's a bug or some kind of "feature" to prevent players being, well, blinded by some lights, even though it seems like it's just some kind of glitch that should get fixed sooner or later. I hope this helps you a little bit and I'm still waiting for my chance to self-Solar Flare me with Vauban instead of filling my screen with black squares 😎
