Can't Start Rising Tide

I am trying to start the Rising Tide quest, but it says that I need to build the Dry dock in the dojo. Problem is that my clan already has a dry dock. How do I start the quest if I still have to build a drydock, but the dojo has one? Also, If my clan says that I am not high enough rank to replicate the railjack cephalon research, can I still do the quest?

if you cant get the cephalon research from the dry dock you cant start it, that is the main requirement to starting

Step 1) check for dry dock (that's done, so don't worry) 

Step 2) check to see if you got railjack cephalon built. If yes, then you can install him. If no, craft him

Step 3) this should start the quest. If it doesn't, send a ticket and/or pray.

So if I don't have the rank in my clan to copy the research, then I am stuck?

Um quite possibly. I'd ask the clan leader to let you copy research, or go to another clan that you can copy the research from.

I'd go to another clan on general principle. What the heck kind of clan rank-gates copying research?

Agreeded. In fact, (very minor advertising here, sorry guys) if you want to join Hypernovasion (aka the clan I'm in) send me a friend request in game, and I can invite you to my friends clan. Otherwise I'm sure there are other clans that are willing to accept you, just ask around in recruiting chat. Hope it helps mate
