Doma does NOT require a bounty - last time it was the 4th one we found, just Open Worlding - but then, RNG...

Go with the bounty and ignore the first spawn for the bounty location...  The odds for a Doma to show up without the Bounty is more rare RNG than running the Tier 5 bounty.  If your RNG is good, then it might spawn sooner in open map.  It happened for me in about 27 attempts (which is where I got my first Vigilante Supply).

Otherwise, it's usually a guarantee if you start a Tier 5 bounty and get away from the starting location.  And it's easier to extract and re-try without the whole "you failed..." messages from Space Mom.

Seems like they're Spawn Pattern was adjusted sometime earlier this year...

Last Year it wasn't hard to get thumpers to pop up... One would almost always spawn 30 seconds after hopping in the plains and they would continue to spawn Back to back after that....

I've seen a lot of people advising to "fly around" in archwing to spot the Thumper. According to my knowledge, which is mine and might not be the truth, Thumper spawn UNDERGROUD (not in cave, but under the grass level) and only get out when passing at a close range. While flying, "too high" in the sky, they don't get out of the ground, making them undetectable. K-Driving around is a better solution, or try to fly close to the ground.

Maybe it's a difference between PC and console(with a little rng sprinkled in) but this is what happened for me 3 times in a row..

I went out into the plains without talking to Konsu.  From the gate, went to the bounty console location on the right and initiated the T5 bounty. Headed towards the first objective and a Doma was on the way very close to the objective.

Again, this happened 3 time in a row. Maybe I was just lucky.

I think once a Thumper spawns on the plains it will respawn in the same spot as the same type even after leaving the plains and coming back to it. It's like that at least in my experience.

If you look up "Thumper map" on google, you'll get some results with spawning locations. There's three with a high spawn chance. I've used them before and they generally do the trick. Activating a high level bounty before heading into the plains will set the area level to that bounty and also allows Bull and Doma's to spawn.

as long as it's daytime and you're in the right Level area of the Map for the Thumper types you're looking for (or if you want the entire Map to be the right Level, start a Bounty - Bounties aren't a necessity for any Thumper Tier but can help practical rates) - just fly around in Archwing across most of the map a couple times. the Spawn locations of Thumpers are predetermined, just a Chance whether they will Spawn or not.

if a Thumper does Spawn, don't just leave it there if you don't want that one, as there is a maximum of two on the entire Landscape at once.

if after you fly around the Map for a bit nothing appears, leave the Landscape and try again.

DON"T fly around. walk to objectives while doing a tier 5 bounty.

Thumper's can spawn in a random "chunk" of land near you. If you zoom past everything, chances are, you will leave a "chunk" too fast for a thumper to spawn.

Gliding, or sprinting is suggested. But don't zoom past anything.

(To that one dude who may quote, I know this is not minecraft. Warframe just uses a similar way to divide land in the open worlds.)

huh.... i usually fly around w zephyr around 4-8 metres off the ground (try not to AW with blink since i think blink can zip past the spawn trigger) but thx for the suggestions gonna try it that way once the sun comes up

Did you do it during the day? Thumpers won't spawn at night.

 Also ...

... that was for a Doma, wasn't it?

Domas don't spawn normally (AFAIK), try the T5 Bounty to get them to show up.

I endorse this..  Thumpers and Bull Thumpers spawn around the map.  Doma needs to start a bounty.  The wiki has the guide here: https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Tusk_Thumper.  After all the information is the same (ish) even though we play on different platforms.

Fly around the camps (number spots) on the map. They normally show up fairly quickly.
