I would have thought the most time consuming part of the riven system was either spamming trade chat or farming Kuva, not the rolling part which is pressing one button.

If you run out of kuva, the original stats would remain on the mod but you would lose the kuva.

Exactly, it isn't the most time consuming part but it sure is annoying. These type of QoL changes are generally good for the game. Or do you think we should go back to they days when we had to individually click on hundreds upon hundreds of fusion cores just to max out a single rank 10 mod? You only pressed one button after all 😆

The problem is Rivens are super subjective and it would be extremely complicated. 

DE would need to allow players to plug in multiple layers of stats along with stats players didn't want so it would know which of the two options it should take if the desired perfect stats didn't pop up. I mean theoretically its doable but I highly doubt it's worth the ROI for DE to implement. 

You're probably better off mucking around with some image processing/machine learning and setting up but then the question becomes is it worth a hundred or so hours of setup to be able to press a button and let it cycle rivens for a few minutes?

Sounds like a rework of the Riven system would be more appropriate.

The solution you ask for is definitely a solution to your problem, but the problem come from a bigger issue that is how the riven system works. If you need to roll for so long to get the stats you want, that some people ask for an automatic reroll button, it show how broken the system is.

Once again, this was also just pressing a button. It's a quality of life improvement that literally hurts nobody.

You can roll a riven hundreds of times and not ever get any particular combination of stats.

And even if you say something simple like "well all I want is +damage idc about any other stats or negs" that doesnt really help because even then the roll may or may not be ass depending on what the other stats are and what the neg is, if any.

This idea just wouldn't solve anything. Not with kuva being the way it is. Its not like you can sit there and roll rivens hundreds of times.

All that would do is spare you the time of seeing the animation and selecting which stat roll to keep which doesn't seem like enough to warrant a system to make it automatic.

If anything just letting us skip the re-rolling animation would save most of that time.

It’s a nice idea but it comes with one issue that I can think of.

Suppose you got a crappy riven stats. You select your ideal stats, maybe Crit Chance, Crit Damage, and Multishot.

If you manual roll it, you might end up with Crit Damage and Multishot. Are you going to let this autoroll mechanic select the previous crappy stats and keep going?

Manual roll allows you to keep the Crit Damage and Multishot, AND let’s you continue rolling.

And like the others before me has mentioned it, it’s not a terribly time consuming activity. Unless you’re sitting on, like, 2 million Kuva.

I'm not totally against DE adding this, I'd just never use it. There are too many variables. You would have to have a filter for each possible roll you wanted to keep. 

Just look at the Nukor for example. You can build it for crit or status or some combination of both. Damage, crit chance, crit damage, multi shot, fire rate, status chance or an elemental damage type are all good rolls depending on what you are building for. 

Would it save any combo of the stats you choose or would you have to set a filter for each possible roll. Keep any cc/cd roll even if it had +zoom and -magizine capacity? What about a cc/cd with -recoil and -fire rate? Both of those rolls have 2 good stats, but are trash and should be rolled again. The time it would take to make a filter for each roll you would like to keep you might as well just roll the thing and get it over with.

It reminds me of back in the day when I botted Diablo 2 and would have to write thousand of lines of pickit scripts. It was hellish and I have no desire to automate parts of this game.
