Will the New Player Experience fix the continuity issues caused by the Tubemen of Regor event?

Question is in the title.

If the answer is no, then I'm big sad.

Tubemen of Regor + the Second Dream = what the #*!% DE.

Y'all put infested Alad V at the very end of the star chart- at least put him before The Second Dream, and maybe add a little single player story where you steal Regor's research.

It doesn't even need to be exactly like the event- just a single quick little mission, like the tutorial missions at the start of the game. Maybe a Spy mission.

warframe are infested inside
helmith infestation is not connected to the main hive mind of the infesation
alad got himself infected with a mutated helmith strain making the multalist strain
Regor researching cure for the infestation
alad gets cured but has scars from his infection

cant the cure kill are warframes ?

That's an interesting theory, but it doesn't pertain to my original topic.

Spoiler

We first discover Mutalist Alad V after TSD.

Canonically, Mutalist Alad V is pre-TSD, and cured/scarred Alad V is the one we see in TSD.

I expect it to cause more consistency issues, not less.

DE does not care about thematic consistency I don't expect them to start now.

But we're nerds.

Accuracy in the fictional continuities we escape to in order to avoid dealing with real life issues is what we're all about.

Surely they know that?

probably not gonna happen. DE don't really care much for making the story make sense. they're usually pretty good with Lore, but actual active stories and putting them in order, not so much.

Aye, I know this.

Which is why I'll bug them about it to my dying breath.

Which. You know. 2020. Could be soon.

Sadly, for a game too focused in drawing in newer players we can only assume they don't know. It's more of a numbers game for them. How many new players can we bring in with this next update..

I'm more concerned about what the cinematic trailer showed (which is connected to the coming NPE rework).

What is a Tenno doing on Earth (at least I assume it is?), alone, without a warframe before the events of The Second Dream? Warframes being active and around would be okay, but at the starting point of the story, the Tenno, the children, all* should be in their respective pods on Lua, hidden within the void by the Lotus.
I just hope they will explain it. >.<

*The only known exception so far is Rell.

Let us be real, i lvoe DE but the latest trailers are show offs to look epic and impressive, not reflecting waht will be in game or if it will even matter.

They became every generic E3 Triple A Trailers sadly. i miss old ones like Alad V trailer, showing actually what you can do, its Warframe powers as they are and all.

Unlike this trailer showing MAg stopping bullets which let us be honest will never happen, on top it used to be Limbos thing also which people not want back i believe.

DE became to big for its own good, new ideas made them stand out but now all we got is new ideas without reworking, adjusting or fixing old stuff mostly, or evolve around it even, work with what they builded up, instead they keep jumping around from one project to the next adding more gimmicks sadly thne actual content or even finish old things.

3rd Orb Orb Vallis anyone? Edilons fixed for gameplay with the night timer? Lichs being more then just some Pinata to bash in for loot and them being in Railajck?

I mean what happend to the whole 3 phases for Railajck? And yes Virus and all but DE has a logn history dropping such things anyway even before Covid.

I dont know exactly what you are asking for here.

They are re-making the TUTORIAL. What this has to do with something that is over 10 planets/moons away from the starting line?

New players experience the chronological series of events out of order.

So technically the problem is that that "something" SHOULDN'T BE 10 planets/moons away from the starting line.

It should be much closer.

Oh they know.

They've commented about it in the past I'm fairly certain.

Apparently due to the game changing so drastically between now and when the Tubemen of Regor happened, the old assets are no longer usable or something- so they said they'd have to completely remake the mission from scratch.

Which...
Considering the timeline of events is broken without that...

They absolutely should.

But has nothing to do with it.

They are remaking the TUTORIAL and nothing else about it was hinted at.

If you want them to be consistent in Tubemen and events, you should ask for that. Right now, its like asking for Resident Evil to explain why Wesker is a traitor as you run along the very first mission with Wesker as a teammate. That development is further ahead in the storyline.

I think Warframe could do with a lot more quests that actually explain wtf is going on. Even after doing every quest in the game a lot of it is still confusing. DE did hint towards the new player experience being more explanatory so I will definitely play the new quests. They said older players can do so as well so I'm really keen on seeing it.

I would love to see a flashback of Ballas and the creation of the frames and Margulis influence and actions doing this period. Maybe give us a crazy frame to play through the mission or a newly created Tenno so that we can "experience" the past. Perhaps some of this has been done in earlier events, but I'm sorely missing the connections with all this lore. Margulis was pivotal in the creation of the warframes, but she is only mentioned by name. I had to look her up after clearing the star map, because I forgot all about her.

To be more accurate, they do, just not retroactively.

Seriously, they foreshadow the hell out of everything to do with the Lotus, then are like "Ah yes, Amalgams for first-time players through Jupiter".

Its something I said many times in chat, "there is nothing linking the quests togheter, its a bunch of isolated events which only some have a chain linking them togheter".

And those that are linked togheter are the main quests. But what happens in-between are left in the air.

Yea I even forgot there was a main quest after Jupiter. I had no idea I had to activate something in the codex. Really not intuitive.
