What happens when you let vomvalysts get to the eidolon when it's downed?

During the phase where the eidolon gets down and the vomvalysts go to it to heal it, what do the vomvalysts do?

They just heal it so the Eidolon has more health when it gets up. I think if you stop them, it'll have half health, but depending on how many get there it can wind up having full health.
