Helminth System and Augment mods

Greetings my fellow Tenno.

I just wanted to bring up something I've been thinking about regarding the new Helminth System that is coming. We are getting something that it allowing warframes to get a EXTRA ability but DE does not want to give us a dedicated augment mod slot... previously i wrote a post regarding augment mod slots that got some attention from all you tenno (Thank you), and the biggest issue was " power creep" but here we are getting much more than a power creep. i know the new steel path gave us something a tiny bit more challenging. I personally like the idea of a dedicated augment mod slot instead of giving a warframe AN EXTRA ability that already exists on another warframe. 

Just leave your thoughts on whats comming and what was said is to much to be in the game.

Not extra, just a replacement. You get one, you lose another.

I fully agree that an Augment Slot would come in handy, but in light of my previous statement nothing's really changed in regards to quantity, and regardless of Helminth the choice of whether it was viable to sacrifice a mod slot for an augment, or not, was always there. So this would hardly be a new reason for it.

Given how DE blew out some key abilities right off the bat, I have no doubt that any new meta that arises from the new system, meta we'll only find out when we start mixing and matching, there'll be another batch of nerfs. DE only nerfed the most obvious ones.

Yeah that never means there isn't power creep though. DE nerfs to moderate their power creep. It's still always there. Don't forget that power creep is good for their bottom line, since it's a never-ending incentive for grind and plat purchases. 

Augment slots are a common request, and I am completely unconvinced. Most of my main frames use no augments, Khora uses one, Nova uses two. They're just another mod you have to build around. There are cases where a basic feature of an ability is not available without an augment, like how Nova's 1 cannot be used for damage reduction without one or the other related augment, and I think those are badly designed abilities, but ... they're badly designed abilities, and changing the rules of augments won't change that. There are plenty of abilities that are useless whether you have an augment or not after all!
