Necramechs in Plains of eidolon and orb vallis

Acting more on a hunch

Since Necramechs function as "vehicals" like K-drives and archwings, I strongly suspect they'll "spill over" into other open world areas much like many other open-world features (Kitguns, Ground archguns, Zaws, Vampire cats, Operator Amps ETC.)

Although it reminds me of the last big update -railjack-, the only "spill out" thing from that mode would be archwing intrinsics, and some mastery (and shedu) to-be-honest, it seems that railjack is the most "content island-ish" update of them all. (I wish that squad link thing was better implemented).

far as I know they're supposed to be deployable in the same manner as K-Drives, but instead of transport, you use them to fight. kinda hoping they'll be durable enough to tackle high-level Bounties on the Vallis, where the Corpus are strong and numerous. they probably won't be that strong, sadly..

Scarlet Spear was a test for Squad Link, they will likely be working on it so that hopefully the next railjack update (which will happen, just probably not this year) brings a proper squad link function. and hopefully Corpus Railjack Missions, new Mission types and Command Intrinsic as well.

Saw in a news article (The article) that necramechs will be available in all ow, and the update log doesnt state anything about them only being locked to cambion drift.

The only thing it says is that you can pilot broken ones there and potentially have to defeat necramech bosses for parts?

This is theorycall. It may not happen. I think RJ should kept beeing expanded on but there is a lot of defiance on it from the playerbase. It is a risk expanding on it and DE may not take it. Those features are more expensive to scaffold than usual and it may be just impossible for DE to put things together on every platform too.

Sheldon said in an interview, (don't remember where I read it), that it was only for Deimos, but he wanted to make them available in other open worlds later

Can you tell me a little bit more about the Necramechs - such as how they unlock, and if you can customise them?

Sheldon Carter: We have a kind of a two-stage system with them right now. In the press demo, you would have seen Rebecca Ford [live operations and community director] use transference to rebuild a Necramech right in the environment. And that's open to any of the players (spoiler alert, there's operators in the game). But for players who have unlocked that and have gone through all that content, that's kind of a bonus for them, because if they find them in the environment, in the right situations, they can use transference. But to a new player, or even for those players, there's factions you can raise standing with, and you can learn about. And through those standings you can build your own.

Are the Necramechs going to stick to the Heart of Deimos area, or could we see them in other open world areas in future?

Sheldon Carter: I could definitely see them there. I think we're going to release with them in Deimos in their home environment, but I don't see any reason why they wouldn't expand out from there.

That's it, thanks
