Heart of Deimos: Update 29

Recommended Posts

sadly another system that was released too soon and will probably become a content island. progression is painful: imagine if in fortuna you could only earn rep through ticker except there was a chance he would ask for stuff you could only get at higher ranks even if you where at rank 1 (looking at you son and daughter tokens). the new infested companions seem to be broken. the recipes say they need fass residue which i have but they don't count it and seem to be using an un-used token icon. please de if you're seeing the open world being abandoned don't make a new one with the progress that more of a job then a game. give us a reason to go back. we've still got an orb mother chilling in the lake. and what's happened to the paradox is that still coming or has it been thrown out since we haven't heard anything about it after the tag on to railjack trailer (speaking of railjack corpus missions when?) DE you have so much promased content backlog please work on clearing it rather then throwing something together and tossing it out the door before it's ready

So while the Tokens are kinda Annoying. This is probably the EASIEST Standing Grind. soo... I don't know why people are complaining about any of the tokens other then Son's being the ones that are time consuming which even then... I got most of his tokens within an hour from doing other stuff and finding 4 different species without tracking them. and no i'm not trolling or trying to be a lap dog here. But i went and did endless for 30 mins? Twice. Just trying to get different mods have a good time. I have so many Mother Tokens i have enough for maxing out the first 3 tiers of Rep just turning them into Grandmother. Mother tokens give 100 standing per token. Maybe its cause i have my boosters on and i'm getting x20 per bounty completed during endless but even then if its x10 thats still 1k standing per task during endless. and the artifact endless being the fastest way being able to do 3 tasks in 3-4mins that's 3k-6k per 3 tasks granted if boosters effect the amount of tokens you get. so just doing 5 bounty tasks of the endless mode which is 6-8 mins. is 5k bounty. granted this is if your archwing point to point.

The chest's by the way that get stuck underneath the puss mounds run back and forth over it and click the open button it takes like 2 seconds if your getting stuck on those However i hope it gets fixed soon lol.

Fass residue for the pets Mutagen and Antigen are glitched on the BP's they don't show up which is a lil annoying.

This is probably their Easiest Open world yet and compacted. yeah its got some bugs. some bad ones. but after playing since it launched to like almost damn well 3 in the morning (probably would've went further if i had access to pets).

just like the other open worlds though. if it does not get updated with new stuff or new systems it will be an outlet for only a couple things that only some people will go do. just like the eidolon hunting and Exploiter orbs. so im hoping moving forward some more things get added to it after some fixes and other things being finished.

Because it's not. Fortuna/PoE, you can go mining for 30min and get 1 week's worth of standing for anyone MR25+. Add a booster and you can get a month's worth in 1hr~.

Conservation gave standing, which was a fun side-thing to do and extremely easy as some of them had multiple animals at a time. Fishing for materials? You would end up getting fish you won't need and turn into standing.

Here you are locked to what you can buy at a given time, just because you can aquire Mother tokens from bounties doesn't make it easier as you will still need the other tokens. Which is just more work since they don't given standing while doing their respective task.

Overall impressions: It's pretty decent as far as Warframe releases go. A bit buggy now and then, but that's to be expected. It's also day 1 (well, day 2 at time of posting): nothing is ever perfect at first go.

Bugs:

  • When I found Father outside the first time and tried to talk to him nothing would happen: hit the button but no response. Popped into spoilermode and it registered. Was talking to a friend and she had no such problem.
  • The first time it wanted me to follow Loid down to the spoilermode room (to retrieve the necramech) the UI decided to lock up with the pin at Mother. I ran all over the Necralisk trying to unlock it, and even was able to run down to the spoilermode room in my frame. Not sure what was going on there, but after coming back up out of that area, back to Mother, the UI finally unlocked and I was able to follow Loid and progress the story.
    • this might have been a packet drop issue or a severe lag spike rather than a bug since I also had several streams running on another screen trying to get those prex cards. I have good internet, but being in the social hub of a live multiplayer game while having plus or minus 8 streams going is pretty taxing on most anyone's internet, or computer resources.

Gripes:

  • The necramech fight at the end is quite annoying. There is absolutely no hint or guide whatsoever to how to kill the thing. I figured out eventually that you have to take off its arms, but once I did that I couldn't figure out how to damage it any further. Saw a comment about shooting it in the face (skull) but it's damn-near impossible to see on a smaller monitor and the zoom on the necramech gun is awful. Eventually (2 deaths later) I guess I lucked into enough face shots because I finally got through it. This needs at least a small polish pass to give the player some idea of what to do, because the Warframe standard of "shoot it till it dies" doesn't exactly work. You're supposed to do something specific, but what that specific thing is isn't communicated.
  • The Necramech gun reticle is way, way too busy. It's hard to aim accurately when I can barely see the central dot. Please consider simplifying that reticle. Or, better yet, give us the option, under OPTIONS, to actually change reticle color: that faded white is far too difficult to see among the onslaught of blinding color. I'd rather have a bright red.

The character interactions are pretty neat, especially as you rank up. I only ranked up once before quitting last night but the interaction between the two characters in the ensuing clip was nice, and I look forward to other interactions down the road. Hopefully they stop being so snide and nasty toward each other: I get the 'dysfunctional family' vibe but it gets old after a while and these are people we're going to be dealing with regularly.

The token system is.... well it's something. On the one hand, it's nice that I can just trade resources to the various vendors in exchange for tokens in order to gain standing, much like Ticker in Fortuna. However, bounties offer no standing of their own, nor do fish or conservation hunts. Everything revolves around trading tokens for standing. It's not bad: I like that I can stockpile tokens so that if I dont have enough time to play one day I can still take a few minutes to turn them in and get my max standing for the day. However, it feels a bit... disconnected. It feels like Mother is saying "oh, thanks for doing that bounty. Here, take these tokens to grandma so you can gain more favor with our family." Why don' you just give me the standing directly? I did the bounty for you, not for grandma. I get why: you can turn in 1k worth of tokens to grandma and she'll give you a grandma token worth 1.5k. So, there is incentive to save your tokens to get grandma tokens instead of just dumping them into her directly for standing. I guess if I had to offer an alternative, I'd rather see Mother's bounties offer standing directly, while the rest offer tokens in exchange for resources. That way, I feel like Mother is directly rewarding me for working for her, while the others reward me for bringing them things that I acquire while working for Mother. As it is now it feels like I'm working for Grandma, since she's the one that actually gives standing.

Haven't figured out how to ride a veliocipod yet. Seen a number of them, even tranq'd a few, but can't seem to get on one. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, or maybe I have to rank up another time or two. We'll see. I'm not terribly interested in it though: archwing is still objectively better as a taxi.

Ran an isolation vault bounty. The fight was kind of fun with the near-endless waves of infested, but we weren't sure exactly what we were supposed to be doing. We got to the location it told us to go to, then just fought infested for a while waiting to see what was supposed to happen next. Eventually Loid showed up and we found out we had to escort him around, but it wasn't clear from the start that that was the thing to do. Maybe we just weren't paying attention, maybe it was glitched a bit or something. Regardless, the fight was rather entertaining and the vault yielded a nice quantity of loot, though none of it of particular value other than the Acolyte mod: we pulled a Condition Overload out of it.

Ultimately it looks like this is going to be a long, slow grind to rank up and get the fun gear,  but that is to be expected of new content. For those of us that work and only have a few hours a day to play, there's plenty to do for the next few months if you dont no-life it and max everything out in a week.

I got most of his tokens within an hour from doing other stuff and finding 4 different species without tracking them. and no i'm not trolling or trying to be a lap dog here.

The son is completely busted compared to all the previous open world.

1) No matter if the conservation is perfect/good/bad; you get a tag so here already there is an issue.

you should be rewarded 1/2/4 token if the capture is bad/good/perfect.

2) One token require between 6 & 8 capture from one species. 4 token is between 4 & 6 of the rarest species.

These number must be brougth down from 1 to 2 max.

3) A token is 500 standing reward.

A perfect capture for one specimen of the rare species on fortuna is 8000 standing max.

The whole token economy for the son need to be bring in line.

Other thing that need to be fixed :

  • Some spawn point are completely broken : the track doesn't appear or is below especiallly for aviacichus
  • There is no spawn for velocipod : so you must be lucky to get around them in the wild
  • If you sleep the velocipod with ivara,, you can only mount them, they must be absolutely tranq by the gundart
  • the predasite & vulpaphyla should go in weakened state instead of being killed if they are shot by the player it become complicated to weaken the rarest species. You have to make them attacked by monster in order to have that happen. That or just get rid of the weakened state completely.

This update caused a bug in the Vox Solaris questline, you can't Interact with corpus's for bounties. This renders the main questline unfinishable and makes it impossible to obtain any shop items from fortuna in general. Posting here for attention as this seems to be being ignored on the bug forums. Please DE fix this

It's not 250. So many people are reading that wrong.

It's 29500 - 30250.

Even I got it wrong the first time I read it.

It's a 750 increase each level now.

My dude MR29 people always had 30k standing, that was always the formula, your MRk+1k standing

"Mag’s Magnetize now has an added functionality as seen in the “Awakening” cinematic. Now, when Magnetize is held vs. tapped to cast, Mag creates and holds a Magnetize bubble in front of her that absorbs projectiles. Recast the ability to throw the absorbed damage in a cone back onto enemies. Mag can also walk while holding the bubble."

When we will have similar function for frost globe being castable on self?

List of stuff to fix:

  1. Necramech bounties unable to progress (nekra not spawning, Otak not spawning, Otak not moving and so on)
  2. Necramech bounties matchmaking
  3. Scintillant being exclusive to low lvl bounties
  4. Mandatory poop farming
  5. Necramech disabling operator dash
  6. falling through the floor endless when leaving vault zone and often other places too
  7. More to come!

I have to say - as a MR 28 player, I find the diminishing returns for MR in regards to daily faction cap insulting.

Most of my friends have seen a sizable increase in daily faction cap - MR 28's get.. 500.  Kinda makes me feel like my effort isn't respected.  I also realize how much effort goes into getting MR 29, and find the 250 cap increase even more out of wack.

If the average player is assumed to between mr 10 and mr 12, that's an increase of 5k or 4,500 respectively.  I get that DE wants to give the average player a boost to daily faction gains, but why isn't that shared evenly?

in reference too:

Daily Standing Cap Changes:
Daily Standing Cap changes have been made to grant a higher cap at each Mastery Rank. Upon starting Warframe at MR0, your Daily Standing Cap will start at 8500 and increase at more gradual increments per Mastery Rank. You will also now have access to a larger Daily Standing Cap at each Mastery Rank than in the previous system!  This will take effect next Daily Reset.

A sneaky Mag buff hiding in the "general changes" after all the other changes and additions i see. Didn't even get a "warframe changes" category for little Mag.

Lot of bugs still left in the update but few enough for it to be a blast. Love the update especially the vaults secrets.
I'm not looking anything up online, I find stuff on my own, it's so fun.

Great work DE, good luck for the bugs fix to come.

You guys know where to get this mod? I already have an Oxylus Sentinel and I don't seem to have it yet. Check The Business too and he wasn't selling it.

We consider this a customization system for very experienced Warframe players (Mastery Rank 8 Prerequisite)

So how many of our very experienced players have unlocked helminth yet?
