I do need to say DE art team has done the most amazing job. I like how everything in the new place looks like.
The new Necramech idea is really cool too, and I'm sure I will work to get this, I feel this should have been the main focus of the whole grinding system. BUT instead it is the new Helminth system. 

As veteran player I looked forward to start trying the new Helminth system out or even seeing what this whole thing is all about. But sadly it is impossible. First you need to do rank 3 and then you can get access into the new system.
Some harsh reality: also forcing players to do something they do not want to do is never cool - mining and fishing....

I had chat with couple of friends who flat on they came to Warframe to try the new Helminth system out. They just found out that they need to hunt and fish (to rank up) and those guys hate everything there is with Fishing and Hunting in Warframe (don't ask why). Both of them just closed the game down as they don't want to do something they hate. It is sad, because I wanted to play with my friends...and now they are gone...

So there it is, I like the new place, but I'm disappointed same time.

I get hating floof hunting, but mining and fishing? Those take so little time to do. Your friends sound like babies, mate. I really hate saying it. Maybe their problem with fishing is that it is the only part of Warframe that actually requires a half-decent aim, lmao.

But overall I agree - syndicate progress should be available to you while you're doing anything. Everyone should be able to skip the garbage they dislike with plat.

also a veteran player have been playing since 2013 over 10k hours two accounts over MR 27 let me tell you I'm also very disappointed and i'm totally with you.
