Helminth Removed My Cyst Even Though It Didn't Say It Would

So I walked up to Helminth and instead of the normal "Remove Cyst" it greeted me with a "Helminth" so I thought oh, the new system! Instead it popped by Cyst and now I have to farm an entire new frame to get it back. I demand a way to re-acquire a Cyst and you REALLY shouldn't have changed the "Remove Cyst" part if it is still going to remove the Cyst.

Really hate that I was fooled by a laughably simple UI oversight. Fix this immediately and give us a way to re-acquire a Cyst on Warframes where they were accidentally removed. This is way more upsetting than it should be so thank you for that.

Perhaps instead of dumping the "Hurr-durr you need the module" in the patch notes it should be presented in-game AT Helminth and warn you that it will still pop your Cyst instead of doing it outright.

So. Much. Hate.

Just had this happen to me as well. Read the update prompt in-game and proceeded to Helminth and got a shock when my cyst was simply removed without ANY confirmation. Nothing in-game said anything about requiring a Helminth segment. Now I need to refarm a whole new frame.

Bull! They should add a way to get a new one! They SHOULD! I'm tired of the Cyst not having at least a PROMPT like EVERY OTHER SYSTEM.

I love that my Khora is now locked out of the new Helmith content now. Thanks DE I didn't want to enjoy something new and fresh anyway on my favorite Warframe.

Here I'm going to do some actual game design for DE: If you OWN a NIDUS how about letting us RE-INFECT Warframes that might've been screwed out of a Cyst due to poorly thought out systems like this?

Not trying to sound or be mean on purpose but man, this really upset me actually. So... sorry... 😞

Same. Got excited to try the new system. But apparently it's all locked behind the new syndicate on Deimos. Which I cannot advance in due to OTHER bugs related to fish parts.

Very disappointed in how buggy everything is right now.

What are you even talking about? I've not seen any mention of the cyst being important for the new content...

But yes I also lost my nidus' cyst from pressing use on a "Helminth" prompt, kinda annoying xD

is there any reason to want to keep a cyst? does it count towards the damage multipliers that are based on number of cysts or something?

"This not only removes the cyst from the Warframe but also inoculates them against further infection."

"This also permanently prevents the inoculated Warframe (except NidusIcon272 Nidus) from accessing the Helminth Infirmary."

The frame you did it with, can never enter again.

There are only 3 reasons to keep a cyst.

  1. To open the door to the Helminth room (presumably you won't need it after you get the segement from Deimos)
  2. To breed Helminth charger pets
  3. For fashion, some people like myself like how they look and keep them

Losing your cyst isn't the end of the world, you can infect other frames but its a massive inconvenience and really sucks for those that kept them for fashion/nostalgia. The ideal situation would be for them to allow all frames to re-infect by sitting in the chair, win-win everyone is happy.

Uhh yeah re-infect. That's a great idea.

but howd you get to the chair in the first place to re-infect ?

Maybe just allow the player to go back the room again or maybe have something in front of the room where you press X to re-infect and then a cutscene plays where your warframe walks into the room and play the same animation as removing but instead adding cyst to it.

I don't think it's something to get that angry about, they'll do something to fix it.

I'm mostly P.O'd because its part of my Nidus' fashionframe.

He's decked out and that zit was the crown jewel of his whole ensemble. Now its gone and I can't get it back. I'm faced with the prospect of farming another Nidus just to get back what was taken and my current Nidus has an ass-load of forma/umbral forma in him. Probably sounds incredibly stupid to be upset over but hey, that was important to me and now because of this I'm screwed. As petty as it is it ruined my evening last night and turned me off from playing Nidus and Warframe for the rest of the night.

They should just allow you to infect a cured frame at the infirmary or make it a cosmetic auxiliary sold by Grandmother on Deimos.

Hmm, I thought you used to be able to sit in the chair again as Nidus and get the zit back. But if you could, it's gone now. Whelp, will have to see what they do.

I had always heard that you could but over the years never found a single instance of anyone actually being able to, every post was like "can't you re-infect nidus" and I think the wiki even said you could at some point. But from all the posts I scanned nobody was able to do it. So it was probably a rumor that just got out of control until everyone sorta just believed it. Or it was/is a bug that was never fixed.

Same thing just happened to me. Logged in, saw the new "Helminth" popup, and lost the cyst and now Nidus is immune. Great. No confirmation, no warning.

Opened a ticket with support, hopefully they can fix this.

I opened a ticket as well, been a few days with no response. They're probably trying to figure out what to do.
