Heart of Deimos Performance glitch, Overlay Blindness

In my number of attempts to continue with the Heart of Deimos (currently on my fifth attempt) beyond the Heart breaking, the Entrati start to fade out but then stop, leaving me with a black screen with the eyes of all the Entrati staring at me, and the inability to continue with the mission. I have tried just about everything within my power as a player and the issue simply does not get resolved by any solutions I can perform.

 

TL:DR The Entrati stare at me long, long after they're done bickering and I can't see the level. Please send help.

UPDATE: While I personally no longer require this fix, I know there may be some that experience this glitch themselves. My solution to work past this is to MAX out your enemy radar and be very patient in learning how to maneuver the caves blindly. It takes a lot longer but you can get there in the end! (Took me round about 3 tries and an hour and a half to get to the surface)

Unfortunately, I had used Enemy Radar to complete the quest long before I came back and saw your response, but since it also tends to happen with cutscenes for increasing ranking with the Entrati I could snag a screenshot when I next rank up.
For now, all I can say is that the Entrati family would fade out, all except the glowing eyes, the mag proc'd map, health, and other stats would appear, and the screen would otherwise remain black.
