Do you keep it?

My experience with "finding in the wild" is friendly mechs that fight the infested. They are AI controlled, and I can't do anything to interact with them. Sadly, they seem to nullify operator abilities even though they're on my side.

You do get your own Necromech....

Ostron / Quills

Solaris / Vox

Entrati / Necroloid.......   you use spoiler mode to get into that area of the Necro-whatever just like with Vox and Quill.

The Necroloid has all the parts to make a Necromech... I just havent figured out where you get the things you hand in for the standing...... I think its a special bounty??

I dont have mine though =P  Not even rank 1 with Necroloid.

You probably figured it out already, but you get the parts on the necro vault runs.

And you can drive any wrecked mechs you find out in the world by void dashing near them- you will reactivate it and be the pilot.  Side note- let the infested take down the mech while you are piloting it and you get a part!

there are two cycles on the cambion drift Fass (orange worm) and Vome (blue worm)

Whilst Fass is active, ruined necramechs can be found littered around the drift. you can walk up to one of these wrecks and use transference to hop into it to pilot around. You do not get to keep the mech after the mission however

Whilst Vome is active those necramechs will wander around of their own volition and get into fights with any infested they see

You can however build your own necramech by progressing with the "Necraloid" syndicate within the necralisk. You can earn standing with this syndicate by completing "isolation vault" bounties an handing in any orokin matrices you obtain from them and from the enemy necramechs found inside.
Progressing with the Necraloid syndicate will eventually allow you to obtain blueprints for the various parts of a necramech.
