People are still getting ridiculous bans, and im not talking about month long bans, im talking about people getting perma-banned for chat messages like "When baro cyka", for people with pitch works pointed towards "cyka" the word means a female dog in russian, but i digress. Why does a chat moderator have permissions to grant permanent bans from the game in the first place? Why put another ban on top of an automated chat restriction? - the system flags you, gives you 24h chat ban - understandable, my bad, see you after 24h. You come back to see 15 year ban from a moderator. Whats the point? - one is clearly redundant, be it the moderator or the system. Why is there no progression in the bans? - Permanent bans for first time offenses to long time players for chat offenses - in what universe does that make sense? A ban longer than half a year should get approved by two moderators, sounds dumb, but with how many viral videos and angry posts on social media there is about moderators, maybe you should consider it. Dont moderators get a set of rules or a guide to go by? Right now it seems like they have full power to just royally cuck anything that even looks at them wrong and theres no one to stop them from doing so. Write a ticket you say, what does a ticket matter when the same moderator keeps picking up the ticket, it feels like you are complaining about a cult member to another cult member when they both rather just ignore you, it feels like screaming into the void, feels like you have better luck just ranting in the comment section of some of the big warframe youtubers. And speaking of screaming into the void, why does an account suspension lock you out of the forums? Why are they not separate? You piss someone off on forums and you get an in-game ban and vice versa. There are so many things wrong in this system and people have been ranting about it for years and only just recently something is being done just because a video went viral. The best part is you dont even see who banned you and for what, all you get is a msg saying that you are banned with no explanation. You cant even talk about moderators on the forums, because it instantly gets taken down, you cant google any complaints and everything is done internally - hidden from public. Is this game run by the former ussr goverment? I bet this forum post is gonna get moved to gulag before anyone even has a chance to reply, and then they yell and hiss about racial slurs and other meaningless crap when freedom of speech on these forums is rarer than cyka baro kiteer actually bringing something new. Thats why i am mad, because it was the first time offense in my 6 years of playing this game and i got insta banned for 15 years, i could murder someone and get out of jail before my ban ends for a chat offense. Who ever decides, i dont see how something like that is justified, either the ruleset that determines how long someone gets banned for is screwed, which i mentioned in the post, or the person giving out the punishment. You dont sentence people to death penalty for running a red light especially if thats the first time they have done it. And if you google the non-moderated posts from warframe players, there are quite a significant amount of people getting over the top bans with screenshots attached, i cant vouch that its their first offense, but i know for a fact that mine is. What makes me so salty is that the only reason why i was on Q&A in the first place - was because i was bored and wanted to help out some of the newbies, which for the most part i did, before my conversation with some of the other vets went too far. Reminds me of a certain communist country that owns this one big gaming company that may or may not be taking over DE some time soon. Well atleast i could discuss this on forums before it got instantly taken down. To me this whole thing seems surreal, but i guess im just too old for the world we live in today, politics and crowd manipulation making people lose their minds. LascarCapable Posted August 26, 2020 Share Posted August 26, 2020 I already closed your thread before and explained you this was an automatic ban triggered by the use of a racial slur. There's a bot automatically banning you when specific words are wrote in the chat. DE's stance is that using racial slur is never acceptable, no matter what the context is. The only thing you can do is contacting the player support desk, if it wasn't already done. Complaining on the forums won't change anything, no one here can change the system, no one but support can unban you. If support said no, then I'm afraid it's just game over. Closing.
