[Spoiler] Nitpicking the Opening Cinematic and New Tutorial

I love the Warframe lore, so I wanna point out something, in my eyes, that need explanations. I came up with some explanations of my own, I think it's logical, dunno what do you guys and the devs think. This is nitpicking, I know, but I just can't help it, so please, bear with me.

1. The Tenno in the beginning of the new opening cinematic, who is she and why was her in the water?

This Tenno is obviously not the player, us, because we now know the operator, at that time, is currently sleep-and-dreaming on Lua, waiting to be awoken in The Second Dream quest and we even get to choose our gender and appearance after that. So that brings back to my question, who is she? I have an explanation, I'll come back to that later.

2. That Tenno put down a lotus in front of each warframe, then when the tutorial actually begins, they are gone. ???

I came up with something that makes those lotuses somewhat meaningful. Maybe they function like beacons, sending out the location of a warframe near it and a slumbering Tenno, the player, can only activate the warframe if there is that lotus around it?

This also gives that Tenno in the cinematic a task, maybe she was tasked by the Lotus to put down those beacons in order to wake up more Tenno? Maybe her warframe was severely damaged and she had to transfer out to carry out the task because we all know your warframe becomes invulnerable when you're out. Maybe the Grineer was chasing her? So she hid in the water? And at the very end of the cinematic, presumably she finished her task, awoke the player and the Grineer actually shot and killed her, so she got teleported back to her warframe. That's how it works in game and as we saw in the cinematic, she did disappear, with those blue sparklings around her location, just like what happened when Excalibur, Mag and Volt left.

I hope we can even see this Tenno somewhere in the game, like "Hey, do you remember me? It's me who awoke you. You are doing pretty well... Blah, blah, blah." Maybe she can even explain the function of those lotuses for us.

3. The warframe you choose is always the middle one, but in the cinematic, Mag is the one in the middle. I dunno, just feels inconsistent. Nitpicking, I knoooooooow...

The rest of the tutorial, I'm pretty happy about it, great work, I especially like that the devs actually asked new player to perform 3 bullet jumps instead of just one. This is a very important mechanics in the game and they really should let new players focus on it. Great work! And thanks for reading thus far.

I believe she's not a Tenno, probably a random Ostron child with some beliefs of the old stories about gods wandering around the System and destroying all threats.

There is nothing besides the 'disappearance' of the girl to suggest she's a Tenno. From the way she's dressed and the age she appears to be, she's simply a victim of the Grineer's killing and burning down of her village there on Earth that we run through.

The only thing that even suggests she's more than just a villager is the Lotus blossoms, but all that means is that she could be one of the many 'agents' that the Lotus has in the general population. Nothing more.

It may be that the dear director of the short actually just designed a really cool looking video with a high budget, because he could, and DE has now had to tie it all into the actual opening mechanics.

The entire video could be just the metaphorical 'awakening' of a player's frame to show that we're here to actually save these people, or at least avenge them, and the girl could never have existed at all.

I think she is a Tenno because at the very end of the cinematic, the camera looked into her eyes with reflections of those blue sparkles in the back ground and those sparkles were actually around her location, I think that means she transferred back.

Yeah, could be, I'm just trying to make sense of an already-made video, I have too much time on my hands, lol.

During the awakening, I was hoping all three of the Warframes would wake up were one is yours while the other two are AI controlled and fight alongside you similar to specters. Would've been a nice tutorial to experience the feel of fighting in a "squad" when playing for the first time

She does have some facial markings as well, but I think she's just a villager looking for help.
