Does anyone know how to capture rogue Scintillants?

They randomly spawn outside isolation vaults (the room you fight a necromech in) and float about. After mindelessly spamming things I eventually captured it, But I'm wondering if anyone figured out what you are supposed to do to make it "vulnuerable" to being picked up.

I picked up a couple from Isolation Vaults, though idk how you catch them. it was always kinda intense with a full squad vs a Necramech: explosions and melee everywhere, so it probably just got hit accidentally in all the chaos. Rebecca is on record saying they're gonna look into Scintillants:

And no, melee doesn't seem to work....
