Visually demanding artifact entrance/exit to the new Necralisk area

Every time I go in and out of the new area (Necralisk), I get incredible lag from the glowing decoration (orb/laser with lots of particles around it). My PC is not a toaster and has a decent graphics card. It's particularly irritating because you're forced to go near it. It also slows down getting to the exit/entrance.
