Heart of Deimos: animal tracks, mining patches do not spawn or are hidden behind geometry.

As per title.

There are occasions where we just can't see any animal tracks or mining patches, and can't perform the action.

Invisible tracks makes the hunt unfinishable, and we can't give up, so must return to the Necralisk to reset (bad).

On mining, sometimes neither the visual patch, nor the dots are visible, making it impossible to mine.

I think the mining klaxon should take into account another variable to tune its sound.

Currently, the pitch is the only change to the sound, becoming higher the closer we are to the mining patch, taking into account the camera center as well.

It needs another cue to inform the player if they are looking from the opposite side of the object. You could add a procedural echo to the base sound.

Even though the decal wraps around an irregular mesh, the dots have their hitboxes. The mining  hitbox has a 'front' that must be hit by the laser, that points to a specific angle.

The average of the 1/2/3 mining dot normals should be used to know where the mining patch is looking at. The further from the angle the camera is looking at, the more echo the sound would have.

Having a high pitch, with echo would have the player know "you are close to it, looking at the right place, but from the wrong side".

Are you suprised? This still happens on Vallis and Eidolon too.

Again they moved on something and copy pasted it on the next.

Bugs and stuff that will stay for years again, nothing to do with "it is new so just wait a few weeks".

We as PC are unpayed beta testers and should be "happy" we can play earlytorughthis buggy mess.

It is insutlting.

I like the little holographic boxes that get drawn around them now, but some of these nodes still end up being geometry or buried.

One example, there are some parts of the environment that expand and contract like they are breathing.. When the geometry expands the mining node does not and so it ends up buried meaning if you are mid burn the action is canceled.

Besides the plethora of mining nodes parked under geometry, as indicated, the choice of node colors is horrendous.

Here's what needs to happen: bright green and bright purple.  Neon enough to stand out in an environment positively bukkake'd by luminescence.
