How to get conservation tags efficiently.

Ok so after much trying to following of poop trails, I have learned the mistake of my ways.

This is in fact not the way to get tags. Do not go to spots on the map.

1) Get a stealth frame of choice. Usually Ivara for most people.
2) Run or fly around the map with your tranq gun. Periodically aim it to see if you get any sound beeps.
3) Use the tranq gun's beeps to triangulate the spot the animal is in if you cant see it through the terrain immediately.
4) Find animals through terrain with the tranq gun.
5) Stealth up if they aren't in combat, and go tranq and capture. If they are in a fight, just go run up, tranq them (don't fight the mobs you'll just hurt the animals more) and collect them asap. Kill the mobs afterwards.

I am getting 10x more tags this way than going and tracking poop and bird calling.

Don't waste your time just tranq sonar track them.

Thats how I hunt in PoE.  And there is absoutely ZERO reason to try and get perfect captures in Cambian Drift because there is no standing from just catching them. So animals already in a fight with infested dont have to be tranqed, just get in there and capture.  

The only piece of advice that still applies... If your gonna fish/mine/hunt  TAKE A SMEETA!!!!  It can multiply your rewards.  

If your doing bounties I suggest you use a sentinel/moa so they have guns that give you decent cover out their in the wilds.

But are all animals spawned randomly on the map? This totally works for those who do, but the greater issue still needs to be adressed by DE.

I did this yesterday for the initial grind, but I'm not so sure it'll really work on the long run, specially with Son asking for different combinations of animals with their different rarities. And getting rarer or better quality specimens don't even seem to make your life any easier, since they'll all equally part of a big and random list of requests that changes constantly.

I have no idea about rarity but I recommend hoarding them until you have enough for 2/3/4 token buys.

The buys themselves are pretty rng

Its more efficient, ye, but if hunting is supposed to be skill based, this is sad, and in terms of player uniqueness, it's even more sad... Guess we get to play whisp or Loki or Octavia or ivara if we don't wanna be wasting our time.
