Scattered Justice can't be used on Vaykor Hek?!

Isn't it kinda stupid that you cant use scattered justice on Vaykor Hek?! I mean Vaykor Hek is basically the steel meredian version of Hek. So it's still Hek! Also since you can use a weapon's riven on its primed version, I think the same logic should be used here as well! The fact that I can use Scattered Justice on Vaykor Hek was kinda not even questionable to me, until I got the gun and saw otherwise.

It's an annoying situation, but it makes sense enough, since otherwise you'd double up on the "Justice" Syndicate effect.

Also, Vaykor is still ultimately superior to regular Hek, so w/e.

Ok... i guess that's reasonable, but it still is a weird exception.

This was an issue when the Vaykor Hek was released in 2015, the devs sidestepped the problem by bringing up a potential Multishot nerf, saying the extra shots were supposed to consume more ammo but didn't due to a bug. The argument went quietly into the night soon afterwards.

Scattered Justice is a Hek augment, not a Vaykor Hek augment.

You're saying that as if it was exceptional for Augments to be usable on more than a single variant of a weapon,
when in reality it's the opposite, Hek and Burston Prime are the only instances that come to mind for single-variant Augments.

If you meant to say something else, please clarify, because currently I don't see what your post was supposed to contribute.

You've forgotten now that Deimos has brought three more augments for a single variant of weapon. Meaning there is a precedent for these kinds of augments.
