Xaku build costs - I like content islands.

I know we players complain about content islands, but putting components of a new warframe behind rank 5 of another open world and an rng isn't what I was looking for.

I've done what I want to do on Fortuna, I'm not rank 5 because I don't want to grind out the bounties and ticker doesn't ever have the familial bonds. I'm not going back there to do the grind to get Xaku.

 

I like content islands, (unfashionable view). For me warframe is best when I can treat it like a buffet and take as much or as little as I want of each different place without it impeding what I get in different places.

 

Warframe as it is now is a list of chores to do before you get your ice-cream. The thing is, I'm not 7 anymore, I dont want to have to do my chores to get at the nice things. I could of course throw some money at it and buy Xaku.

I mean, you've had a lot of time to do Fortuna. like a lot.

It's not like Baku is going anywhere. even if you did a bounty a day you could get it done soon enough.

You can do the adult thing and spend money then. If you don't want to farm it just buy it. If you don't want to spend money trade for platinum. DE has to encourage us somehow right?

Time but no inclination. Xaku isn't sufficient motivation to chase an RNG reward. If ticker were to have the right bonds I would buy them and rank up.

My key point is that, with the exception of the main quest line, one bit of content shouldn't be gated behind another.

Pretty much this. If you want to rush something.. don't complain when it feels like you're "working a job".

Warframe has a lot of MMO elements. Which means, you're not meant to rush things. It all works better when you have 5 tasks and do a bit of each every day, rather than tunnel vision into one.

If you want some terrible RNG, Octavia's Neuroptics had a 15% chance to drop every 20 mins in orokin derelict survival. Now that's some boring crap.

If we had clan mottos mine would be "We do not farm". I've been playing since PoE came out and I've never pursued anything with a drop chance below 10%

There's two things I actually want from this update, Xatu and the Helminth segment. Xatu is locked behind MR5 in fortuna which I don't feel like getting but probably will unlock and Helminth which is presently locked behind conservation that I really don't like doing. I am somewhat frustrated by this and expressing it across the feedback forum.

oh ok, then don't. You have a ton of other warframes to play with in the meantime.

Im fine with Zaku being locked behind Fortuna. DE should want you to get everything out of Fortuna before heading to the next open world.

Why should they? I don't understand this statement, the build effort for fortuna has been done already, whether I delve deeply in to it or never touch it doesn't affect DE and shouldn't affect my involvement with the rest of the content.

Warfame is best as a buffet, not a-la-carte with mum denying you your dessert if you don't finish your mains.

Again, its only one Warframe. its not like zaku is some meta changing frame. If de wants to lock them behind maxing a faction like they did for syndicate weapons let them.
