In a bounty from mother in the new open world is not working properly.

I do a bounty from mother and it has a stage where you have to find and destroy the tumor. I find it and shoot it then it says destroy 3 tumors. We have to do it in a time limit and I keep failing it. After I shoot it, the shield is over the tumor and I have to fight the infested. It does not progress from there. I kill the enemies when they keep coming and they don't stop coming and the tumor stays shielded until it says that I failed the bounty. It needs to be fixed. It did work during the quest like it should but not in any of mothers bounties when it gets that stage.

Same thing when I get this mission as part of a bounty.  You're not the only one and I play on PC.  Unless we're doing something wrong, we'll just have to wait till this gets fixed.

You have to find the three tumors in the area. They are yellow. It's like a hive mission.

Yeah you run around inside the yellow circle looking out for them, they look like hive tumors. Had me spouting a few swear words when i 1st did this mission and failed it.

There are two different tumor bounties I have encountered.  The one that is like hives asked me to find a cache, the cache is surrounded by a tumor that sends out pulses to follow, then you have to follow the trails to 3 smaller tumors to destroy. Destroying the smaller ones makes the main one vulnerable just like in a hive mission. 

The other is what you described: the mission asks you to destroy 3 tumors with a counter and a timer. I had one like you said though where it asked to destroy 3 tumors in a time limit, no pulses.  This one glitched out and never made the tumor vulnerable.  A second time I had it we were able to destroy one then move to a new search area and destroy a second then a third area for a third tumor and the stage completed.
