rodzzila Posted August 27, 2020 Share Posted August 27, 2020 I don't mind the Token system, actually think is a good idea. But it needs a way to change family member tokens. I think a circle where you can use one family member token to buy the ones from the next member on the right with inflation is a good way to do it. (E.g: Use 20 Mother tokens to buy 10 Father tokens > Father buys Daughter tokens > Daughter buys Son tokens). That way you can do it way faster if you do the specific member task but you can brute force it by just playing bounties if you want to. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This would solve the forced progression issues for everyone not wanting to do Son and it would keep the flavor of having to reconnect the family together. Also, it completely remove the purpose of having different tokens because this system encourage to do different tasks, while what you're asking just remove that. About this point specifically, it's totally normal to lock MAX STANDING in a big expansion behind a bit of time to avoid players reaching it the first day. And for lower MR, its even less of a problem because the lower cap give them time to farm for more tokens in advance. sorry, but that's bullS#&$ - i guarantee you that i will get to max standing in almost the same amount of time i did with the other two open areas. only differenz this time is that i will waste a lot of time running back and forth to get the random-exchanges done and also will hunt, fish and mine more stuff i need at this moment than i need for just up-ranking... true it's likely that i'll need this stuff later on (again, like the other two open areas also proven) but it's annoying right now regardless of it's usefullness later on - also, in both PoE and the valis i had far more stuff at hand that i needed, even till now, when i reached the maximum standing and all equipment/BPs/etc available at this time (with a few exceptions)... this clearly is aimed at keeping us in the game longer, no doubt about it, but it's also understandable that it ticks people off. if it's worth for DE in the end? idk, that's for them to analyze - me, i can live with the current system well enough like i did with the other two open areas too. in the end it might even turn out a better system than before, so DE shouldn'r really listen to every complain about it now until they get enough data out of the wild to get to a conclusion... but ofc, it might also cost them, like always when using the player-base as test subjects.
