Antigens and Mutagens

Why exactly do the Vulpaphyla and Predasite have their own sets?

I was very disappointed to find that the Helminth System is not in the rank-up rewards when you go up to rank 3, then I saw an Antigen with the mutation I wanted, and picked that up. Then I went to son to spend what little daily standing I had left to try and get a Mutagen and make my companion, in lieu of being able to get the Helminth system running.

And then I found out that the Antigen I picked up was for the Predasite, not the Vulpaphyla. So it's not what I wanted at all.

So point A: Why is this not listed in the description of the item, and point B: Why are these split up at all? We really don't need the extra grind.

A: why is it not listed: good question. An indication to the purpose would be super-helpful. Although, of course, DE wants us to pick all of them up, so in the eyes of DE, each of them has to be bought, so just buy all of them and craft the ones you are interested in.

B: on the one hand we don't "need" the extra grind. On the other hand each costs 2500 reputation. Having two sets and not one set increases the required rep by 20000. Which is... two 40-60 bounties?

I mean, sure, I'm with you, but in the grander scheme of things, this is a mild inconvenience for the first week and nothing more. As long as there's loads of stuff you want to buy, it is super-annoying. Give it two weeks and you won't even notice the expense. I mean, I literally don't know what to do with my Cetus and Fortuna rep anymore, everything is maxed, bought everything I wanted: if you told me now that I could have had my grind (when Cetus or Fortuna released) shortened by 20000 rep, I'd say "it makes no difference at all".

Which, I guess, is the reason why DE has done it. "Let them grind two bounties more."

A: You can use the preview option to see the names of the materials you need. That way you know what to get when offered the options.

B: Good point. Maybe they wanted variety? Or lore, since they're for different animals, thus different systems, and different reactions to the infestation, so they'd need different antigens.

I'm with the OP on this about A. I've had to repeatedly fly back and forth from my orbiter to brother nad back because my memory doesn't work so well. I can literally forget what I red a moment ago in the short duration of flying up to the orbiter then rushing to the cooker. I open it up and....

...which one was I supposed to use again?

A phone need to be invented in this universe so I can dial Ordis and tell him to start crafting something when I'm out in town.

The warframe app lets you do exactly that. Access to your foundry and a bunch of other things too.

I read there was some error because 2 clients try to be logged in at the same time but maybe that's not the case now. Also can I have warframe app compatible for windows 10, I don't use smartphone.

To stick to the OP, I don't mind the extra grind honestly, then I don't run trough the content too fast x'D

You can only be logged in to one place at a time, Warframe will log the phone app out, I don't know about the other way around.

Okay, now I'm trying to cure a Vulpaphyla, and going up to the forge, having antigens and mutagens for both creatures, it's a pain to have to figure out which goes to which.

It MUST be added to the item's decription which goes to which!

Unfortunately, you can't easily go to look at that preview when you're crafting them. So you gotta remember or have the wiki page up on a second monitor (and apparently hope the wiki page is correct). Or just build both.

You can write it down.

They could've just doubled the standing cost instead of doubling the number of blueprints. They even already have the same resource requirements for the same effects (Adra = Leptosam, Desus = Iranon, and so on).

Compressed dead tree carcasses and immolated organics combined into a writing system are amazing! 😁

I jest, but I keep notes on things handy when playing all the time instead of shuffling windows or tabbing out if possible.

I just preset what im gonna make at Son, remember it, then go craft it, then go back to son and put it together.
All in all, its less standing than all the parts you needed for all the moas, so im okay with the added grind and the separate antigens and mutagens for the 2 different species
