Where do I find Necrathene?

I tried mining, pillars, vaults... Nothing. Is it bugged as well?

Well for me it is 0 Embolos and 0 Xenorhast wich i can´t find at all i have like 200 necrathene and 150 Thaumica from 1hour farming

Meaning that with Kavat-Buff + Resource Booster you can get 16 Necrathene or 40 Thaumica in a single mining action.

Which Kavat are you suggesting?

try changing what mining tool your using if your using sunpoint try using nosam cutter

Taken 50 mins Mining with sun point laser drill to find a single spot which drops this, gave me 4 x in one go. East side.

I got alot of Necrathana from the blue nodes around the absess (lower right of map). 

Always use a Smeeta when you hunt or fish to get the stuff occasionally multiplied by smeetas charm ability

I've built everything out of deimos except the pets and the damn cortege just from the stuff I farmed the first few times I went into the drift.  (and the tons of vault runs I have done)

ya but fortuna tool will only get you it in the extra [ ] reward but find it better with the 2nd tier of cetus mining tool.
but hey i just offering advice that actually worked, an that many ppl know that fortuna an cetus mining tools do better at finding certain stuff better

Try the Infested Seragic and the Catabolic Gutter. I always use the drill from Fortuna (Sunpoint?).

Since it's a rare gem, you may have to run the map a few times.

mining isnt the way to go.

you have to farm requiem pylons and reactive crystals. youll get like 3-5x the rare resources you want from pylons as opposed to mining once you understand how to farm the pylons correctly.

dont bother with all of them...just do the easy ones....no netra, no xata, no lohk.

stick to fass, khra, vome, and ris.

i mainly just go solo....check the two near the entrance to the necrolisk, then scoot on over to the catabolic gutter...theres 3 in a row there. look to see if any of them are on the "good" list....you can often just do one pylon and kite a bunch of enemies to it from the others...but still try the others if theyre good, as enemies will spawn in as you approach.

once you kill everything...dont restart any of them...just go back into the necralisk, let it all reset and go back out.

doing it this way you can farm a whole ton of pylons really fast...just keep going in and out of the necralisk to reset everything. sometimes all the pylons are bad...so just run back in to to change them.

mining will take forever...pylons are WAY faster.

Now I'm not 100% sure but it seems I get Necrathene more often when getting an cyan colored ore vein with the small (bonus) brackets and hit that one. Hope it helps!! :)

I tested the Advanced Nosam Cutter but it gave me the special gems instead of Necrathene, so clearly this was not the solution.

So I switched to the lesser version, the Focused Nosam Cutter, since it cannot mine special gems (Eidolon gems, that is, and presumably others of equal rank, like Xenohrast and Embolos, of which I have been getting plenty). Of course this cutter is more tedious to work with since deposits do not show on the map, but mining is still entirely doable.

And it was worth it for me. I cannot give you time frames or detailed stats, but I did, finally, find enough Necrathene to build that one Necramech part. Did not take that long. In contrast, I had been intermittently mining all day with the Plasma Drill and only once found Necrathene. "Perfect" cuts did not seem to be required with the Focused Nosam Cutter for this either.

So maybe the person above actually meant to refer to this lesser cutter. The logic makes sense for it, as well.

I tested it with the Plasma Drill, this was my result during mining (not actual amounts, just the amount of times I got it, so that resource boosters and buffs etc are excluded):

Gem Veins (Blue), 126 total:

• 30 x Dagoni -- 24%
• 26 x Xenorhast -- 21%
• 18 x Heciphron -- 14%
• 31 x Tiametrite -- 25%
• 17 x Embolos -- 13%
• 4 x Necrathene -- 3%

Ore Gems (Red), 63 total:

• 3 x Thaumica -- 5%
• 36 x Bapholite -- 57%
• 13 x Namalon -- 21%
• 11 x Adramalium -- 17%

NOTE! All 4 Necrathene drops came either from a perfect mining (5 'star' rating, with that fancy animation and sound effect), or from the bonus loot you get when taking the very short intervals of 1 bar. Either that was just a coincidence, or perhaps that's the only way to trigger them.

After some testing it is perhaps around 1 in 15 or 1 in 20 blue veins that turn up Necrathene. I have mined a good hundred or so with the Sunpoint Plasma Drill and Advanced Nosam Cutter each and can attest the difference is 1 drop with the Sunpoint Plasma Drill vs 6 drop with the Advanced Nosam Cutter (Of course, no Xenorhast or Embolos).

Dude, Thank you for this advice! I switched to the old(Cetus) Mining tool and got 10 back to back from the blue nodes. Thanks for the help!

I am on PS4 as well and I have only gotten 9 total. It is wayyy too rare and I have mined for hours.
