Random Energy Trail on Melee

Random Energy trail after holstering melee that follows you around (melee in use here was reaper prime, using the thanatos skin from the nekros deluxe bundle)

Don't know how no one has responded but I get this all the time. It happens when you use quick melee (not fully equiped) and then go straight back to aiming your weapon. If you instead keep using melee and choose to holster it yourself it will stop, but still seems like a strange thing to be happening. I tried changing the holster placement and disabling certain visual effects in the settings, no luck. It's only one extra step to stop if from happening but sometimes you don't have time to holster your melee in the heat of the moment.
