Scintillant needs to be guaranteed somewhere

There is nothing quite as bad as Scintillant in the game right now. Between it's buggy and terrible spawn rate in vaults and the terrible table rolls from bounties; having this material as a gating mechanism is absolutely the worst part of Warframe made manifest. Endless boring grind for non rewarding rewards due to a single bottleneck. A bottleneck with artificially controlled rarity to keep people grinding longer.

This is wisps all over again. We shouldn't have to complain about a lesson already learned.

Make this item a guaranteed drop. Then adjust the number required for crafting to gate grind thresholds. That way nothing is hidden about content and no one is beholden to a gambling mechanic to progress.

The thing about Cetus Wisps is that there is a minimum number guaranteed to spawn when you enter the plains. Whether or not you get that many is based on how observant you are, but they are there nonetheless.

Scintillant needs the same system. There has to be a guarantee of at least one per vault in order for the progression to work. Otherwise, you leave open the possibility of a player literally never getting one due to astronomically bad RNG.

I've never gotten or even seen a single Scintillant AT ALL. That's after hours of doing what I thought I was supposed to be doing. Nothing - not a one. Even after the latest changes. So I agree with the OP. Having a guarantee of getting at least one of these things somewhere would be really helpful. Scintillant seriously feels like something out of Fifa Ultimate Team or a random Chinese knockoff mobile game. Why do we need this?

I'll gladly do the 3 vaults 10 times if it means getting the 10 Scintillant I need. Heck, I even enjoy those vaults, so I'd be happy to.

But 2 days farming and nothing to show for it... Bad is bad.

I hope the Necramechs drop change fixes this for me, even if not guaranteed.

I have seen one floating around on launch day during my intro mission.  It looks like a globe with a weird crescent floating around it.  It's slightly larger than the size of a Warframe head.

I couldn't interact with it or grab it during that mission and I didn't know what it was at the time so I didn't screenshot it.  It did float around fairly high above the ground but not more than 3-4 meters maybe?  It was tracing around some pillars too.

I haven't seen one since that mission so there's a good chance it's changed.

 As far as I can tell, before the change, you needed twenty a day and they offered like five.  Now you need like twelve total ever, and can get that in a day.

 Until they make more changes, the system does not seem like it is going to be a hardship.

You can get 12 Scintillant in a day? Can you please share how you've pulled that off? Because it's been 4-5 days and I still haven't seen a single one despite running dozens of Isolation Vaults.
