Unable to host or join game

Since the Heart of Deimos update I tried to play Warframe with my girlfriend a couple times, but we're both having matchmaking issues

When I'm trying to host she's able to connect for a moment, gets put into a "please wait" screen overlay for a second and then gets kicked out of the lobby.

When she's the host the game throws me into a perpetual "please wait" screen overlay. The only way to get rid of the screen is to get invited and accept the invite a second time - the game then says I'm already in the session I'm trying to join. Indeed, the squad chat DOES work in this state, but all the player icons disappear from the top of the screen. Also when trying to check my profile the game throws me into a screen with a default Tenno and an Ember Prime with a Glaive Prime, both of them are in A-Pose. I have never even owned Ember Prime nor Glaive Prime, fyi. When she tries to force-enter a mission in that state I get kicked out of the squad.

I have never been more confused in my life. Anyone got any clues at all? A fix perhaps? I just wanna play the game with my gf again :c

It does seem like it could be an error on OUR side at first glance, but nothing's changed with our setups since before the update and we didn't have any problems playing back then. Joining public games works just fine for some reason, though, but when I'm hosting a public game new players don't seem to join.

Try changing your MTU to 1500 in your internet settings
