Steel_Rook
If a player (as a client) activates their Archgun Launcher gear item and their Synthesis Scanner gear item simultaneously, the player character is put in a soft-locked state. The Archgun summon sound effect plays, but the player pulls out their Scanner. Putting away the scanner pulls out the player's melee weapon and locks the player's offensive controls - no weapons can be fired and the melee weapon cannot be swung. The game treats the player as though they have an Archgun equipped, thus preventing all other offensive actions. However, the player DOES NOT have an Archgun equipped and thus cannot attack. The player also cannot un-equip the not-there Archgun as the Archgun Launcher gear item is locked and unavailable. For context, I have my first 12 gear item slots bound to my Function Keys. F1 is my Synthesis Scanner since I use it often, F2 is my Archgun Launcher since I use that quite often as well. If I fat-finger my controls and accidentally press both F1 and F2 at the same time (my finger hits between the keys and presses both), my character almost always breaks. This is - as mentioned - only as a client. As a host, the game tends to resolve the issue and either equips my Scanner or my Archgun without breaking my character state. The above issue can be slightly mitigated by activating the K-Drive (if on an Open World). This restores access to the player's primary and secondary weapons. However, the player is still unable to melee-attack and many movement animations become broken. The only reliable way to fix this issue is to fully reset the player. That means either going through a zone load or dying and manually reviving one's self. This bug has existed since Archguns were introduced and is not unique to Deimos.
