PS4 Heart of Deimos: Hotfix #4

I have tried to complete Avichaea captures for literally hours over the past few days.  I have yet to see a single one except in a couple of youtube videos.

1) animal start points are more or less random.  quite few maps have only had 2 or 3 start tracking location.  frequently not even one Avichaea start point exists.

2) tracking is maddening with ghost footprint color frequently blending with terrain color.  other times footprint cannot be seen because they are locate beneath/in the terrain.

3) if the call point is located, and the Avichaea duck call is used, the diseased son says something to the effect of "they're on their way now. find it."  however it never arrives at the location, or even around the location.  i've never seen a single one in the game.

 

- i've track followed, called and searched just like i've seen in a couple of videos, and not a single Avichaea.

- it is busted, broken, and frustrating.  they don't appear to be spawning at all, or at an extremely low rate (to prolong gameplay), just like the scintillant.

 

and you required me to complete this 5 times just to access equipment.  animal captures aren't fun in the first place. 

fix this.

Now we can enjoy a bug that when useing the warp tentical we get tossed under the map and only way to fix this is archwing up through barrier back above ground ....still have bugged xakus systems resource bugged even after 3 "fixes" just stop with rushing stuff who cares if players leave if they need to waite for a working vr of the dlc the players that matter will stay and waite the ones who will pay to support the game and keep it alive

Thanks... But it didn't help as much as I hoped... Now I have to wait half a month for the 5 client update to trade parts, which will probably be 2 to 3 PC patches later

Quick edit: I actually haven't heard anything but if you're supposed to use void damage to disable the mech shields... I haven't seen it work at all

Looking at this HOTFIX its looks like you have not addressed the bug with Grasp Of Lohk Ability i mentioned. The bug appears to give you Protea sized BALLS instead of enemy weapons, i guess this must not be issue in the community.

During the demo of Xaku it was explained that when enemies don’t have firearms, like infested enemies, that ball will represent a spot used by the ability and will still fire on enemies.

They are gems not ore. There is a difference. They drop from the blue mining spots. Yellow if you get lucky with the random bonus. And I’ve gotten them plenty of times. They are rare. Which I think I got the rarest ones more often than them. Either way I’ve found the a lot in caves though.
 

That or RNG is just not on your side at the moment. Been problems grinding for me too. Feel like I’m wasting hours. It’s one thing if you have to mine for like 1,000 resources that you get 10 each attempt cause you see your progress while only gaining 1-3 but need 15-20 is just annoying when you get zero. Definitely messed with the mind.

Well it got removed when I blasted roughly 3 times. The “Mother” does say that your void power is impressive after succeeding against the mechs. I’m guessing they do. Cause I’ve seen them maintain shields for a while until I shot them a few times with my void beam. Makes me wonder if Xaku can do anything. Or what if you use Valkyr? 🤔

I use her against the mechs. I have a hard time hitting the hit boxes (I have a hard time with moving targets in general) but she does do quite a bit of damage once they’re hit.

 As for the void thing, I’ve tried that with their shields. Blast, beam and dash and nothing disabled. Idk if I didn’t hit an area or something but nothing worked for me.

Really good hotfixes still! It's also super cool to be getting them this fast on console.

Remaining/new items to report:

- Some of the Helminth stuff is REALLY expensive. Bile especially - 3000 cryotic? I don't like Heiracon that much. 1500 Fresnels? I actually like railjack but also I'm kinda done there and fresnel farming is not exactly quick

- Vulpaphyla has a glitch with its gimmick. When it dies (which it does because it's really fragile because I have to gild it before I can put a reactor on, side note I HATE Gilding, I hate having to level something twice just so I can even put colors on it, this is awful) and goes back to larval form, the larval form is ADORABLE btw, sometimes it resets to unranked. I was doing sanctuary onslaught and got mine up to level 15, then all of a sudden it was unranked again - I THINK it might have happened when I went through a data conduit while the vulpaphyla was in larval mode? Highly frustrating. Hasn't happened to me so far doing non-SO content but also that makes leveling this pet real slow. I'm kind of afraid this might happen even after gilding and everything? I'm MR27 so it doesn't suck for me as much as it will for some, but still.

- vulpaphyla question #2 fetch still seems to work when it's in tiny plushie sentinel mode but animal instinct does not? Is this correct/intended?

- Isolation vaults are really cool except for the mandatory 3 minute wait at the second infested sphincter-door. Can we get a way to speed that up by killing Infested faster, maybe? That's the worst part.

Edit: forgot one: Having to do all three vaults in one 'cycle' is terrible. I was really happy that this wasn't a thing with orb fights in fortuna because of how much I hated it with the eidolons. I think I get the design reason for it, and I know there was a story/theme reason for the eidolons, but when you don't have all day to play, it super sucks loading in and finding you have 30m left in a cycle, so you either have to waste 30m doing something else (and hope whatever activity you do doesn't take longer than you thought) so you can start the activity RIGHT AT CYCLE START - after which you may not have time to get through them due to IRL constraints. I pretty much only solo these and even though I get through them without too much trouble the mandatory timegate steps means there's a hard limit to how fast I can do them no matter what my kit is, so I think for me I absolutely need 45 minutes to do all three. This is really stressful and frustrating - I was actually processing the bait for my third vault entrance when I saw the Fass/Vome fight happen and realized I'd forgotten to check the clock. So then I get in there and it's only a single mech, didn't get the T3 drop table. Not fun. And unlike the eidolon fights, I don't see any story hook for why there should be a cycle-lock on this, it just seems like a contrived thing to add tension?

 

Edit #2: Okay one complaint I realize is a little unreasonable maybe: vulpaphylas are clearly foxes, not cats, so why does it just have kavat animations? I know it's probably an issue of resource allocation but I would like to see them have their own. In a more reasonable complaint, ever since I installed the Helminth segment the animations for my pets seems to have gotten really wonky, the way it used to with pet beds? Like they don't walk anywhere anymore, just sort of blink to designated spots to lie down. Sometimes these are by the Helminth (now I know if it's a cat or dog person), or on the pet bed, right now it's lying half in the air, half on the platform in the [redacted for second dream spoiler]

update on pet bug: keeps lying a few feet to either side of the pet bed, never actually ON it, and while this is occasionally realistic to actual cats/dogs (*stares at dog lying on floor instead of bed IRL*) I doubt this is intended behavior. It does the animation to jump into a bed but never actually does it ON the bed

Update to the vulpaphyla rank reset issue:

Not sure if this is consistent but it SEEMS to be related to the vulpa dying while in larval form. So I thought the larval form was immune because it always respawns the big vulpa, but I just saw the larval/sentinel form (which has 1 HP) get killed by enemy fire and THAT seems to trigger it getting reset to rank zero. Quitting out of the mission after this reset it to rank 23. Not sure what would have happened if I had completed the mission. Seems to me that it shouldn't be able to die in larval form, but even if it can, it definitely shouldn't be resetting rank.

They probably havent acknowledged it because that's what its supposed to do for certain enemies. Watch the reveal for Xaku again. For enemies whose weapon you cant directly "steal" for whatever reason, like Moa weapons you'll get a void orb which has the stats of the weapon its imitating

Well when I did it I shot directly at the skull looking head. Maybe it was just a coincidence but it might be something. And it took three shots before it disappeared. Wish DE gave us more of go on. I mostly just bring a Larkspur and unload on them till they break. Usually happens in like 2-3 seconds. So half the time I prevent the shields. I do more damage when I shoot from above. I can’t tell if it’s the arms or the skull head. There’s just too many things going on to be 100% sure.

The escort bounty phase where you have to gather samples for the Corpus guy is consistently the worst one so far - enemy spawns seem way too low and if it's not that, it's the drop rate of the samples themselves. I think every time I've gotten that step it's wound up being a five minute affair which is kind of crazy for how simple it should be otherwise.

I’m having a lot of issues with the bounties, it’s either defend area objectives not starting when you reach the waypoint, or waypoints not showing up at all to the next objective once on is completed.  I’ve also failed a few timed objectives due to falling through piece of the environment and being stuck and unable to get out, the only option is to quit the mission and lose all the rewards except for the mother tokens given after each objective, kinda frustrating.  And the fast travel out of the isolation vaults, I’ve a few and have only ever been properly transported out once.  I don’t want to try them because I end up stuck under the map or in a piece of the environment almost every time out.

There is a problem when I deployed my *NECRAMECH* and go level him up then I back to my frame and go little bit far from him it disappear now the problem I back to deploy it again " all my work and tiredness are gone "  that annoying, hope that'll fixed soon.

Can we get a hotfix for players that can't join frieds to play and please give us a hotfix for Diemos alot of us are glitching and falling under the map and when you type /unstuck it doesn't unstick you it just keeps doing an iffanite loop falling under the map also some times other players can't get through the big doors to join in on the bounties or let you exit to Mother even if you leave the squad. Thanks from sabberwolf2003 on the PS4 server
