Scintillant ... :(

I don't know if I was just blessed by RNG, but today I ran solo a T1 and T2, got a floating scintillant in the T1 (also the little bugger tried to escape, if you see one, catch it immediately. It might also be wise to first explore the vault for scintillants, and then kill the necramechs, to avoid involuntarily triggering the escape), and then one scintillant per Mech during the T2. 3 in one run. Now I can finally build the Quassus, yay.

DE is now flat out lying about the bounty rewards. I've run ~4-5 hours of T1 and T2 bounties now. 1 Scintillant.

I ran the first 2 phases of tier 2 for the last hour (where it is a "Common" drop), skipping the longer tasks. ~10-12 runs with 80%+ being 2 phases. F-ing. Zero. If random game drops were regulated like slot machines in the US, they would be shut down.

It's obscene, dishonest, and insulting.

They have been this way for a long time

I've decided I'm fine with it. Sure it's rare (about 1 a day in casual play) but they need to make money somehow so if people are encouraged to buy the frame and weapon instead it's all good. I'll have them in a couple of weeks easy.

From someone who was totally ready to buy the real money pack with the drone and ephemera, I refuse to give them a single penny until they fix the economy of this update. From scinillant to bile and necro mods to the randomness of tokens, EVERYTHING is off and needs to be sorted.

So making everything a nightmare to get is a double edged sword it seems.

Yep. I might pay for a cool cosmetic, but fix the drops on stuff like this already.

Haven't figured out which is worse trying to get....this or Mech Mods....I understand to a certain point and time involved Grinding is part of Any game...but i also know and see when it's being abused, squeezed, steered to Pay-to-Win which right now it's a fine line between that and average to normal play...

3hrs of soloing missions with scintillant as rare bonus reward. No scintillant. Crying inside because I don't want to delete the game but it seems you are hardcore wasting my time. 3hrs of life, for absolutely nothing, so sad. How to be a proud warframe gamer? Why do you want to make your gamers feel like suckers?

This thread is old and it seems they fixed the rates. So at least for me it wasnt bad to get. When i wanted to get Xaku, it took me two days running isolation vaults. And its not like i spent 12 hours playing, just a couple hours in the evenings.

Funny how I was doing iso vault with a friend who had never done them, I was explaining to him how scintilliant is supposed to float around in the vault/caves sometimes but I had never seen any dispite doing a lot of runs in the beginning. Then, literally 5 seconds later he says "like this one?" and boom theres scintilliant right there... Then on the same run other one appeared later. This leads me to believe that some people are just way luckier than others and drop raritygot nothing to do with anything XD

Altho personally I got enough of them from mechs back in the day dispite not seeing any floaters so w/e.

Its even better now with the new bonus vault mission, not sure why people are still complaining.

You just solo the first T1 mission, if you don't find a Scintillant, get out and repeat until you do.

Once you found it, remember the location, jump out and start the bonus T1 mission.

Jump back into the vault, go back to the location you found the Scintillant, wow its re-spawned.

Don't do the bonus mission, just jump back out, wait for the timer to abandon the mission, then repeat, start the bonus mission again.

Keep doing this until you get the amount you need.

The issue is people don't know what the best way to do things and instead do it the wrong/hard way.

As someone that was SUPER critical of the scintillant drop rates, I think they're MUCH better now. In a 3 vault run, I generally find ~2-3, versus before when I ran 10+ 3T vaults and found none.

Here are some tricks:

  • Doing a vault's Arcana bounty will cause the same scintillant to respawn at the same locations (at least for the first playthrough).
  • You can cheese the respawn mechanic -
    • Get into the isolation vault and locate the scintillant.
      • None? Abandon and retry until you find one. You may need to return to the orbiter or Necralisk to force the map to generate a new layout.
      • My RNG has been 1 in 3 runs having scintillant in the first vault. Your mileage may vary.
    • Grab scintillant.
    • Leave the vault and wait for the abandon dialogue.
    • Accept the bounty again from mother in the Cambian Drift (don't return to the Necralisk).
    • Grab the respawned scinillant.
    • Repeat.
  • I use Ivara in prowl and find the sound to be the best indicator.
  • It's sometimes easier to void dash into it, rather than jump, since the capture box is really finicky.
  • I'm pretty sure it doesn't despawn like wisps. I've definitely left it floating around for 10-15 minutes.

If that is the "right" way then something is still broken as hell.
