Vulpaphyla Devolution mods are busted

For 3 points and one slot you get an immortal pet and infinite vacuum. You can pretty much just ditch all the link mods, pack leader and bleedout reduction mods. Just slap this new shiny baby on your Vulpy and you'll be ace.

Not to mention that Panzer Vulpy is amazing. Viral procs for days and being able to fit Sharpened Claws is just a cherry on the cake.

Is pets 2.0 even coming anymore at this point or is it just power creep after another? I remember DE (Sheldon) talking about some Kubrow buffs for example to Raksa's Howl, but so far I have seen nothing.

At the moment I just wish the beast companion precepts worked the same as Moas. Once you unlock a breed you could use those precepts freely on any beast companion (2x unique precepts limit just as Moas).

Nah, the devolution mods are how all pets should work, Prime regen keeping them invul with weapon disabled while they are rebuilding over 90s, Djinn rez having a animal low cd, etc.
That and univac of 15m (or +12 if you account for the mini walk vacuum) placed on frame (possibly as a helminth inject).

Sure, I'd love that. It's just atm they give it to one particular type of companion and leave the rest out to dry. Vulpies could have their unique respawn mechanic, but the general respawn mod should be for every companion.

They're not "busted". Pets should be able to come back to life in a similar way Venari and our Sentinals can.

Dear DE member who may be reading this; don't change the new companion mods please. They're 100% fine as they are.

Compared to everything else they are busted. Like I said, they completely negate the need to put ANY kind of defensive mods on your companion. Also I'm not telling DE to nerf the mods, I'd be happy with a universal respawn mod for all companions (rework Primed Regen to work infinitely and make it mountable for all companions, just add a cooldown to its mechanic 30-60s).

It's just to encourage a new style of modding and gameply, the mods are not "busted". These new companions' buffs are nowehere near as strong as stuff like the smeeta charm. I feel like calling them busted is gonna get DE to nerf them. Also they are broken in that they cause serious bugs rn.

Or make Regen in general work like Reawaken with a cooldown that reduces as you rank it up, continuing through the Primed version. Sentinels kinda get left out in the cold compared to beast pets to begin with. Now that beast pets teleport near you when downed, reviving them is a small inconvenience with no serious penalty.

And I agree with the general sentiment that I'd rather have vulpaphylas be a little strong than be Moas again, and that right now, there doesn't appear to be anything remotely close to Charm and Cat's Eye in terms of what any companion can give you beyond surviving so it can carry Fetch / Vacuum and Animal Instinct. Hell, Sentinels are better for using their weapons as set mod stat sticks than their own precepts are in most cases.
