Use Operator Dash or Void Blast (melee) to disable Necramech Electric Shield

I've found the Void Blast to be unreliable at removing the shield.  I was using Naramon to get them to fight each other and take the heat off me for a bit but I didn't notice it dropping their shields.  When it comes to Dash, that seems to work, once.  After that Dash bugs out and my Operator just slow-mo jumps instead.  Shooting them in the back I can't really comment on as most of my experimenting has been solo and they move and turn far too fast for that (far faster than the ones I've piloted).

A side point, they also seem to take far more damage when I am client than when playing solo.  The first Necramech dies in seconds of me shooting when I'm in a 2-player game but with the same gear playing solo it's more frustrating than Sortie Vay Hek.

In summary, there seems to be a few bugs that need fixed before I can really judge this fight as right now I'm not sure what is working as intended and what's not.

PS:  It'd also be nice if Loid warned us about the electric shield damage reflection instead of shouting "KEEP ATTACKING!" while it's invulnerable and attacking is likely to kill me instead.

Figting necromech's solo is extremely painful.  I've done everything operator to them and sometimes they keep their shroud.

In groups I use normal amp shots and it seems to disable the shroud but I have no idea what the 3 other people are doing lol.   (Never see them dashing or blasting)

-------------------------

When solo fighting mechs I have noticed they have a glowy blue body part.   Sometimes torso, sometimes a leg.   I couldnt really figure out what its suppose to do...  shooting the glowy part with guns or amp didnt really do anything I could notice....   I assume its suppose to be a weak point??

As quoted from wiki:
"The Necramech's Storm Shroud ability acts similarly to Rhino's Iron Skin, where it will absorb all damage taken for 3 seconds and turn it into an electrical barrier. This barrier will last forever until enough damage has been done to destroy it and only then can the player damage its health/shields."

This was tested and confirmed by myself. The barrier has an invisible HP. The reason why you could disable the barrier just by void blast / dash is because you didn't charge up the barrier.  Without charging it up, the barrier has little to no HP.

If you somehow charged the barrier up, you would need to throw in more damage to disable it.  Any type of damage is able to disable the barrier.  I have tested with all kinds of weapons, even zaw's exodia contagion.

Problem is damaging it reflects damage back at you lol.   Thats why operator is good.   I also think warframe DPS abilities like Ember's 4 do not get reflected.   Dont know if it even hits Necromech but it felt like it.   I have switched to other warframes.

But these fights are so annoying.   Just make boss's bullet sponges.   Like something out of Steel Path.   Then it wouldnt matter what you bring,  nobody would be getting murdered repeatedly and no frustration.   Just everyone working together to take down boss.

I think besides being killed by reflect damage, its also extremely frustrating getting nuked by his mines.  Way OP for that supposed difficulty level (or any difficuty level lol)

Zaw contagions would not be reflected. IIRC melee heavy slam also would not be reflected. The reflection has a radius from the mech, so you would be fine if you are standing far enough

If you are willing to improve gear for particular boss, i highly recommend one-shot type weapons such as vectis, lanka, or gunblade like redeemer prime. Mod them for radiation, damage and crits. Excessive damage dealt on their arms pass to their main HP. So if you are dealing enough damage, you could one-shot them
