What would you like to see if we get another wave of helminth abilities?

Just a thread to share your ideas and wants. DE might already have plans, but if not, here’s to hoping.

 

I’d love to see wukong’s twin on my nekros, or weapon passives so I could slap ballistica prime’s ghosts on something that doesn’t need to charge.

its easier to think that they will create standalone skills than sharing even more warframe skills that previously stated or they will contradict what they said before: not giving ultimate or signature skills to helminth

Balance pass on existing “shared” abilities that are outdated or ineffective or both...this is what the focus should be on.

Helminth has exposed them, and “fixing” them or changing them benefits the entire game.

Fully support this. When there was mention of them reworking some of the weaker abilities I had hoped for far more than what was presented. I had a dream that this update could have breathed new life into older frames. Shame, really.

This, I doubt they will ever let us subsume any existing warframe abilities, but theres quite certainly new helminth specific abilities coming sooner or later. Even if nothing powerful, I could imagine them adding some "fun" abilities.

One I'd really like to see is "Infested Sight" or something. Basically, highlight enemies... the same way we can use dyes to highlight fish in the open world locations.

Sometimes, it's a pain in the rear to see enemies. I've resorted to just using Ignis Wraith on Deimos because the enemies blend into the environment so well, it can be difficult to see what's shooting that defense target.

There are some frames that have useless abilities that I'd love to replace with something as simple as making enemies more visible.

I'd love to see more movement abilities. Several movement abilities that are fun and interesting got passed over for their frame's 'powerful' counterparts, like Nova's Wormhole, Ash's Teleport of Valkyr's Ripline.

Even if there are never any further passes (and I do believe that, so long as every frame offers something, some frames could offer more powers than others), I'd love to see similar abilities or other such powers. Movement abilities are fun, ok?

Ultimately I think that’s what I want most. Much as I love being a near immortal powerhouse, nothing beats having an army of pets for me.

Velocipod Swarm

Summon 3 aggressive Velocipods that melee and spit at enemies, lasting until killed or recalled. You and other allies can ride them in any mission type.

Virulent Purge

Inflicts a Viral disease that spreads between enemies in close contact. Affected enemies receive Viral damage and proc per second. Hold to purge the virus from all enemies, dealing damage based on the number of enemies infected.

Would like some of the current standalone helminth abilities to be buffed a bit. I like using infested mobility on Gauss, but that ability really needs a duration buff, like 10-15 seconds or something instead of 8 seconds, or at least half the energy cost to 25 since it’s basically just Volt’s speed without the added benefit of increasing melee attack speed and also affecting nearby allies.

Definitely want to see more standalone helminth abilities. There’s a lot of options available for helminth abilities, even if it’s very simple ones. Some (relatively simple) ideas:

Headhunter: Increases the damage of your weapon’s headshot multiplier by +50%-100% for 10-15 seconds (scales with power strength and duration). Works well if people can successfully aim at the head

Leap: Launch yourself into the air, knocking down and dealing 100-500 impact (or blast) damage to enemies within 5-10 meters of you. Also gain +3 seconds to aim gliding after using the ability until you land back onto the ground (scales with power strength and range (and perhaps during as well for extra aim gliding)). Somewhat based on Excalibur’s old jump ability.

Not crazy powerful, but still could be fun to mess with. Don’t mind it if we get some mediocre abilities. While i would like some strong abilities from Helminth, i think having some fun abilities would be more enjoyable to mess around with than making abilities that ends up being a “must have” on every single warframe build
