5 days 4 scintillant

You are pretty lucky to have four.

I found a glitched one in an ISO that gave me two back to back and I have a total of three.

Its ironic that they want it to be like wisps but instead of making them actually spawn they added a tiny chance to get it from a mob as if that fixes the system.

I spent a combined 20-30 hours since Tuesday running Isolation Vaults and never saw a single Scintillant. Then - out of curiosity - I ran about 10-15 Mother bounties and got 2 Scintillant from the Rare rewards. Now maybe I was just extremely lucky, but Isolation Vaults just seem like a teribad way of earning Scintillat.

what i dont understand is why DE has not given scintillant the same icon as every other rare resource like ayatan stars and argon crystals to show up when you get near them or have loot detection rolling? 

why make finding them so unnecessarily hard? why do even wisp still not have vacuum enabled for them? it fricken boggles my mind.

Because they're still under the illusion that crap like Cetus Wisps / Toroids isn't terrible. You don't get icons for either of those, so you don't get special icons for Scintillant. I guess we're supposed to "find" it, which is rich given that - in my experience at least - doesn't even show up in the world.

Also the poor visual communication and lack of information about it. It did show up on the last vault I did , tried to walk over it, shoot it with a weapon , shoot it with my void gnome. None of that worked. I just assume it was some kind of scenery. Turns out it was the rarest resource of the update and you are supposed to shoot it with your operator and than pick it up with your warframe ( I'm assuming only warframe count because I did try to void dash trough it ).

I guess I deserve it , for daring to play the game before looking at farming guide.

That's really the worst part about most of DE's updates. Even when the grind isn't HORRIBLE, their utter lack of instructions for the player make it seem so. Anyone remember Scarlet Spear an our initial reaction of "You're seriously giving me 10 Standing when I need literal thousands?" Yeah, would have helped to tell us how the scoring scales, or that staying in the same relay multiplies our rewards. Or hell, look at Deimos itself. The design gave people the impression that we NEEDED!!! to do a lot of Mining, Fishing and Conservation. Well, turns out you can get most of your Mining and Fishing resources from Isolation Vaults and Conservation got drastically reduced in importance. Levelling up purely on Mother Tokens is the fastest way to go, but that really isn't apparent until you're well into the system.

For whatever reason, DE keep contriving new and exotic progression systems with no real explanation, then act astounded when players misunderstand them. Yeah, when I need the Wiki to update before I have any idea what's going on, maybe you did a piss-poor job tutorialising your systems. I know I'll get slagged for "whining" with the typical "Well, it's obvious to anyone with a brain!" argument that always crops up on these forums, but Scintillant is just too obscure. Obscure enough that I can't be arsed actually looking for it in Iso Vaults any more. Maybe it's been showing up on my runs and I never saw it - I've no way to know.

while this is technically true, the amount of resources you need for tokens vs the time needed to farm from vaults vs their original mining, fishing is ridiculous. i did a 3 vault run 2 min ago and only got 2 spines 8 thaumatic etc. while when i did a 15-20 min mining and fishing i got 18 spins from cutting fish, 78 thaumatic ore etc. it takes farm less time to just do the mining and fishing than it does doing the vaults which they have gone on to increase the time it takes to get down to them.

Between mech drops still falling though the floor, "common" bounties never giving it, and it never showing up free-floating in the vaults I've run, I only received 3 yesterday through about 6 hours of running bounties and vaults because I have an active booster that doubled one lucky mech drop.

The rest of my time was spent mining 3 hours for 60 Thaumic ore to make Xaku neuro. I'm glad I had a resource booster.

Wasn't the mech drop also fixed in the last update? I haven't tested it because I don't play much until everything is patched and confirmed working. As long as I run 6 bounties and get 6 rare drops and no uncommon drops something is up.

5 days, 0. For me and many others. It claims to be a cummon drop from one of the mission types and yet I've done many, many, many of those and seen ZERO. Even with the recent changes and drop chance from necramechs I see zero. Should be 100% drop from necramechs.

That sounds like its more of your ps4's problem though, like a update was downloaded incorrectly or had an undetected error during a download. Have you tried deleteing and redownloading the game?

There's an entire thread about it on the ps4 bug page. Many people have tried uninstalling the game and redownloading it, and it only fixed it for a few.

Got one from 1st day bounties, then NONE. Got second yesterday from Mech drop.

With a friend we did one 3 hour Deimos run this night, .0.5 version - he spammed Scintillant bounties (t2) and I did mining to get stones needed for Mech parts. It seems to me DE got some grind gating expert in the team now: based on that 3 hour we got NO Scintillants, in mining I got around 30-40 Embolos and Xenorhast each (rarest gems) but less than 20 Necrathene (less rarest gems, but required for Mech). Just FYI got around 1500 1 tier ore each (I hate that Baphometh ore already), 300-400 1 tier gems, 70+ Thaumica also (sort of required), and - 6 Xaku optic parts...

So we got 'mid' range resources with some expected good drop chance, but those resources are extremely hard to acquire for their displayed drop/rarity tiers.

Since the patch I have run the vault more than 30 times (30 easy. I haven't counted all of them). Many of which were 'full' (all three in one go) runs, meaning 6 necros. I got 2 scints from necro kills within an hour. Here it is dozens of runs later. I have not seen another drop. And I've still NEVER seen one of these floating scints that are supposed to exist. I've looked for them. My teams have looked. And many teams I've gotten told me that they've never seen even one either.

I finally ended up getting 1 scintillant each on 2 consecutive runs of the T2 bounty tuesday. The randos I was playing with each time had never seen scintillant drop before from the bounty either and were astounded.

From all the bad write ups about the game mechanics for the new Syndicate and Helminth system on Deimos, I've just decided to completely ignore it until the developers fix what is clearly a complete balls up! I'll just leave Xaku where it is and the Syndicate as I have enough to keep me going with the rest of the game to even bother about it. The abilities I have, on my WF are also more than enough, to even bother about the New Helminth system. 
Bottom line it doesn't appeal to me at all. I've over 1,000 hours in this game, on returning to PC having played more on the PS4. I'm now getting to the time to take a break, look for another online game to play and I'll come back to WF some time in the future. It's a great game, I can't deny that, but really, Deimos, as much as I can see a lot of effort's been put into it, the whole grind nightmare has just put me off for the syndicates. I've got enough on my plate with getting all being offered by Steel Meridian and Red Veil and Cephalon Suda and maxing out the Arbiters of Hexus. And of course, to go back and do the same with New Loka and The Perrin Sequence.
