CalamityUK Posted August 29, 2020 Share Posted August 29, 2020 Did these things get stealth nerfed/fixed, as other than the fix to the Jahu I didn't see anything in patch notes on this (please redirect me if I've missed something)? Prior to either the most recent hotfix or the one before it, it was way easier to get resources from these things. I am unsure if this is a bug or not - so apologies if this is in the wrong forum. An example of this is with Khra - it used to siphon resources from enemies that it had slowed with its pulse. However, testing it now, it seems that I only get resources by killing slowed enemies with my operator. This one isn't too annoying, as you can still get a decent amount of resources from this, and I understand that it may not have been the intention for the Obelisks to be so passive in the first place (although if that's the case, why do the Fass, Lohk, and Netra ones exist? More on that later) A more irritating example is with Jahu, since it repels enemies. Previously, it would automatically siphon resources from enemies that it repelled, and due to the bug where it would give resources when switching to the Operator, this one could give you an absolutely insane amount of resources and I certainly understand toning it down. However, this one now also seems to need you to kill affected enemies with your Operator, but this is really inconsistent because the repel pushes enemies far enough away that the Obelisk doesn't spawn any resource when they die. I've not had chance to test the other ones that don't kill the enemies themselves but I imagine it is the same. I don't imagine the issue is too bad for any of them though since they don't push enemies away like Jahu does. Netra doesn't even seem to work properly, as on the rare occasion the Tendril Drone does manage to kill something no resources seem to spawn. But the Tendril Drones do so little damage to the Infested enemies anyway that I wonder whether it would really make any difference if that was fixed. Fass is also pointless, although this one seems to still work as it did originally. Enemies can barely manage to kill each other so you'll be lucky if you get more than 3+ resource drops per activation with this one, and that's being really generous. I can certainly understand if the amount of resources you could get from these Obelisks initially was not intentional as some of them were pretty insane, but it would be nice for transparancey on if this was changed intentionally or just an unintended consequence of some other fix. If you want to fully discourage these Obelisks being totally passive though, Fass, Lohk and Netra all need a rethink because at the moment you just wait for them kill the enemies for you and they're not good at it. They'd be improved if you make it so they give resources when they successfully do damage with their effects, but I'm not sure you can remove the passivity from them without reworking their effects entirely.
