Password Delay

Been kinda annoyed at having to repeatedly type in my password to login because it doesn't accept it the first one or two times. I confirmed this was the case by copying and pasting my password and thus spelling it exactly the same each time and it still rejects it a couple of times before finally accepting it. Even this very website does it.

Seems like there is some portion of time before the login is accepted. Is there something wrong with the login process that requires it to "boot up" before it can begin accepting passwords? Maybe just prevent me from typing it at all until it's ready.
