Scintillant should feel like a revised cetus wisp

Shouldn't that mean that scintillant should be easier to obtain than how cetus wisp was when it first came out? Shouldn't scintillant be buyable in one of the deimos shops like cetus wisps are in cetus (i know it wasn't on poe release, atmo systems were purchasable from the start but only after u reached a certain rank in syndicate)?Scintillant still needs to drop more, and should be purchasable imo whether its with reputation or plat.HW41Yfa.png

I've gotten 1 to drop from spamming isolation vaults, but that's it.

Now, actually spotting scintilants inside the iso vaults? I've done more than 50, and let me tell you: I've NEVER seen a SINGLE scintillant. They feel like a much worse, more annoying version of cetus wisps.

After it was removed from Father's requisition tokens, you really only need 2 of them (unless there's something I'm forgetting). And since they occasionally drop from necramechs, it's not that hard to get two of them.

Of the 6 I have right now, only 1 of them was found in the world. The other 5 came from mechs. And considering the fact that it hasn't been super long since mechs started dropping scintillant (and stopped falling through the floor when it does drop), and that I have only killed ~30 mechs since then, I would say that the rate is fine, unless something comes out that needs a bunch of them.

Cetus Wisps were more plentiful on PoE Launch than Scintillant is even now, but they were also needed in much larger quantities. The rate of gain to the amount needed doesn't feel that different to me now that they can drop from mechs (and no longer drop through the floor).

Xaku Systems and Quassus each require 5 each. Also, Necramechs are a pretty polarizing bit of content; some kill them with barely any effort, but many have more trouble. Personally, I haven't killed many of them, because they're incredibly tedious to kill, what with their damage-reflecting shields on top of a weak point system.

I think a lot of people have missed this, from the wiki:

I haven't taken much time to farm Scintillant yet, but this might explain why getting it as a mission reward is rare. Unless that, too, is just... not spawning as often as they should. Probably aren't. They seem to be overvaluing how easy it is to just find the objects lying around.

It's not like in PoE where you can go out at night, Archwing through the entire map in 5 minutes or less, and come out with over a dozen Wisps. Getting down to the ruins is a genuine chore, and it has to be during that specific bounty, and you can't just archwing zoom through those tunnels specifically to grab the Scintillant.

If Scintillant were guaranteed to be a found object that we can grab down there, in varying amounts, that seems like the only way to keep the "rate of acquisition" at a fair level.

Will the Amp disable that? I know that it works for the electrical aura invulnerability.

 

Also note, you happened to directly quote a post where they say "It should be like this, but it's not"
So why are you making your own post to declare that it's not, when that's already what they admitted to?

Doesn’t help that our sentinels usually get destroyed during the mech fight so we can’t be 100% sure if something is or is not there to be collected.
