taiiat Posted August 30, 2020 Share Posted August 30, 2020 you could use that to get more out the Soma Augment i suppose, yes. within the normal Magazine of 200, you get to 146% Crit Chance.... which is not worth using over Argon Scope, which is already generally not worth using. however, with 75% Efficiency, let's see what we get on the last Shot now...... (keep in mind that i don't know if Efficiency is treated as a Chance to not consume Ammo or a fixed rate) 362% Cit Chance on the last Shot. well, that certainly sounds amusing, but even if you're using Primed Shred on Soma, it already takes 9 seconds to empty the Magazine normally. with an effective capacity of 800, it'll take 34 Seconds to empty the Magazine. so with the extra Efficiency the Augment gets to some actually neat numbers, but it takes so long to get there that...... it will literally never matter. Arcane Pistoleer is more likely to be interesting with the Soma Augment, so that you could theoretically never Reload Soma for an entire Mission. still gonna be hard to justify though. as you could have another Gun in all of that time instead. Pistoleer won't work since you have to Switch Weapons. and Synth Set.... seems unlikely, using Melee to put it away without switching would still be considered Holstered so it should reset. the Augment sounds less appealing than it already did, and it wasn't exactly appealing before hand. (XBOX)UltraMagnus5000 Posted August 30, 2020 Author Share Posted August 30, 2020 I will use this ability with my solo eidolon build on Oberon as he already can heal lures and increase his damage and with this ability I am able to conserve ammo and will not need to run carrier and instead I can run Adarza Kavat or Sahasha Kubrow. The duration also feels low (not just here many of the helminth abilities feel just a little lacking to be good QoL) maybe if it was "until next reload" it would have been more useful as some weapons have very poor fire rate or reload speed or both to take advantage of it.
