Broken star chart

I had this one time yesterday after a Lua mission (Lich Territory), and one time today after a Mars mission (Steel Path).

After zooming out, it was not possible to zoom in again.

The "Resource Drones/Episode Status" button toggled between states as normal, but the associated graphics & links were absent. The "Loadout" and "Zoom out" buttons functioned as normal.

Exiting and re-entering the Star Chart did not fix it.

Using the Syndicates console to visit Simaris and then returning to the Orbiter did fix it.

EDIT: didn't notice that this thread is in the Playstation sub-forum when I posted this. I'm on PC... so this bug affects both.

I have had this happen several times. You can't go anywhere, you can't vote for a mission, you are basically stuck and have to restart game. Knowing form previous posts to go to Simaris from the syndicate console fixes is nice to know. It is annoying when it happens. It is only after returning from a mission. If with a group and they start another mission it fixes itself on return though. The was happening before the last updates and happened to me last night again.

ME AND A FRIEND FOUND THE CAUSE OF THIS BUG

Due to increased loading times on PS5 its possible for a player to start the vote for a new mission before PS4 players have loaded in. This causes some clash within the UI so it just doesnt know what to do with itself and results in the jank described here. Replication of this bug is VERY consistent.

Little problem with this, the original post was in August, the PS5 wasn't out yet.

Fair point lol imagine if this bug can be repliated using the PS5 that the same systems are at fault for the cause of the bug though. On PS4 systems friends still reported differences in host client ship load times and it'll vary based on connection and such of course too. Could be people are still activating a mission vote before the user loads it was just rarer before the ps5 made it more easily replicable because of the hardware differences.

I've had this too and if DE put a delay between someone selecting a mission and being able to start it without the whole squad agreeing this wouldn't be  such a problem.

It shows a lack of respect to just start a mission without the rest of the team being ready anyway, sorties seem to be the worst for it, before the PS5 you would be back on your orbiter before the mission would start so could leave the squad if you weren't ready. Now thanks to the PS5 fast loading times by the time I get back to the orbiter the next mission has started and I'm left stranded, having to shut down the game and restart because of the blank star chart.

As more people get PS5's this problem is only going to get more prevalent for the people on PS4
