Deimos hidden damage reduction

Noticed my slash procs are doing a wee bit less damage than normal.
Went to look around and found out something about some of deimos' enemies having damage reduction scaling with your weapon dps.

Someone tell me this isn't a thing.

I don't know about the enemies on Deimos in particular, but yes, that is a thing. DE has with some frequency implemented "cheating" for VIPs, you can even see your damage getting reduced when your attack speed Arcane activates, in some cases.

Yeah, I went to test it. My fully modded, 7k dmg per shot dex pixia is doing 215~ dmg, while my unmodded ferrox is doing 159+33 (non-crit).

Seems the juggernaut has it too, my procs barely damage it.

Juggernauts had DR since... years I think?

As for other enemies, Infested Genetrix has a DR on its outer shell, however, it has a weakspot on its eye, which deals 4x damage.

junglas is the other enemy I know to have DR. However, bear in mind they have armor. Some infested units in Deimos like the cranis has armor with them.

Jugulus have weakspots as well. The "shoulders" I think. Or they take extra damage there, or everytime you destroy one, they take more damage everywhere

hmm... oddly enough, I've gotten a "headshot" indicator on my crosshair when I shoot its mouth 😕 . Though this has been happening recently, not at launch.

I'll try the shoulders and shoot with my gun, because my melee stropha just ends up oneshotting it.

I haven't ever noticed that because they die even on SP with one hit, moreover my glaive is more powerful than their.

My Latron Prime with a God Riven can't one shot the Jugules at lvl 60. However I can one shot it if I hit the shoulders.

Yeah but I was shooting the tip (lmao) with both weapons. Seeing as they're both neutral damage to infested sinew, there are some shenanigans going on for sure.

They have armor, like the Carnis and the big ball with eyes that float. And armor is DR

And that explains a 300 dmg and a 2200 dmg per bullet weapon, which have no bonus to sinew, doing the same damage how?
I even burst-fire the pixia at the thing with 10 corrosive stacks, it barely did more damage than the unmodded ferrox at full armor.

Wait hold up.

I just realised, I think you are confusing the Jugulus with the Saxum. The Saxums are the one with shoulder weakpoints, Jugulus are the ones that appear out of the ground.

Wait, you're right. Then what the hell is a Jugulus???

Edit: OOOOh is the Tentacle thing

Edit 2: I don't know where is his head. If is that thing near the ground or the top

Could you please elaborate the reduced damage on getting more attack speed?

If I recall correctly the Juggernaut Behemoth and the Condrix were enemies where this was easy to observe. You would consistently get the same damage number when shooting them, until Arcane Acceleration kicks in - then you consistently get a significantly lower damage number.
