(PSN)Raven-Ghosthawk
Presently, I'm running Helios for scanning new things, and Infested Spawnpod is the only case I've run across (ATM) where Helios can't properly do its job while I do things. Scan of Infested Spawnpod in Cambion Drift cannot be completed because Helios can't fully scan it fast enough before it opens, and it's almost too late by the time one notices it to whip out their codex scanner. At minimum, (IMO) spawnpod definitely needs some slowing down, and codex scanner/Helios may need to be sped up.
HansLuft778
it is possible to scan them, yiu have to do it manually, start to scan in the exact same second the pod spawns.
Steel_Rook
I don't understand why those things are scannable in the first place. It's a bit like letting us scan Bombard Rockets.

That's kinda difficult under combat conditions. Those things usually spawn when you're fighting, and the scanner takes a bit to wind up and click. By the time you even notice one spawn during combat -- and assuming you can even get off the scans -- it's either too late or you gotta prioritize. Helios starts the scan but gets cut off halfway. Another suggestion: Give Helios the full scan for it. Because it's VERY annoying when you bring Helios to do the scan as you fight, Helios starts scanning the pod as it grows, but the pod pops and nullifies Helios' scan halfway thru. The full scnan like it already works on corpses would be helpful.
(PSN)Raven-Ghosthawk
I'm gonna try this with Synoid Heliocor, but I still stand on manual and Helios codex scanning -- the damn things are too fast and/or inconvenient to scan.
Unimira
I was able to complete the scans during an excavation bounty, they keep popping up around the drill pretty much non-stop so there are plenty of chances.
(PSN)Raven-Ghosthawk
I kicked Synoid Heliocor up to 2.22 speed. Pods still spawning at inopportune moments or far out of range, and any pods hit do not scan. Networked scanning might also be something to look into, enabling one person to scan something and add toward codex entry for anyone still needing it. Because this is ridiculous. (PSN)Raven-Ghosthawk
Bumping this. Problem still persists. Please slow the pods down, or give the full scan if Helios manages to light it up.

(NSW)Gamer-Steve
I've run into this problem too. I had some near-full scans when I happen to be looking at a particular spot where it shows up, with the scan button already pressed down. Although even then I haven't seen it be capable of scanning fast enough to get it. Not quite sure how many scans would be needed in total either. Honestly, scanning enemy fighter craft in Empyrean without Amesha is easier than trying to land a proper scan of those Deimos infested spawn pods (Granted, I fully scanned everything in Earth Proxima, so I'm used to not using Amesha for it in favor of my favorite AW :) , but even still, I fully agree either increasing scan speed (That Simaris widget could be upgraded perhaps, to work for non-synthesis targets; Maybe that'd work) or slowing down the infested pod opening is ideal). I'm not sure if there's any way to stop or slow the pods otherwise, but I have thought of trying to Cataclysm -> Stasis them and see if that pauses it. Hopefully a Slowva can succeed though, that'd be useful too.
