Brunzwick
Being immune to a status effect (in this case, viral, the far-and-away best status to build on just about everything) is a band-aid fix for all the other elements being pretty bad in general, with the exception of heat, and a few edge cases. Making enemies resistant to dots, with no explanation of that fact to players, is also pretty confusing and frustrating. For those that don't know certain enemy types in deimos are resistant to damage over time effects, like heat and slash. They take less damage per tick than other enemies would. With no explanation of this fact for a player. This also seems like a bandaid fix for a deeply broken damage system. Making new enemies immune to or take reduced damage from "the good damage types" is frankly a rather lazy way of trying to fix this system. -Kittens-
Treating deimos like the level means the same thing as a closed tileset is not a smart idea to begin with and there are two other factual examples as to why this isn't a smart idea. Secondly, Infested have needed defensive buffs for years. Bring your A game and actually expect to have to play instead of just clicking until dead. Brunzwick
That's the thing, they still die in one or two shots anyway. It doesn't make it more difficult.

DE already admitted that immunity is bad and they wanted to move away from it.
-Kittens-
You mean you did the same exact lazy things you do in the main game and it was just as effective rednering the OPs exegesis completely irrelevant and redundant? Wow, what a completely salient and totally relevant nontroversial insight you've brought to the discussion. Meanwhile Pablo said literally the opposite of what you said last month, because resistance and immunity are all they have to cause gameplay moment to happen between players mindless smashing button to make numbers happen on the screen. So if you're done missing that Deimos A follows the exact same trend of more resistant enemies found in Skyrim hallway and Blinding Hallway and Space Hallway and B the latest remade boss features more immunity phases than any other boss in the game, we can get back to the game being exactly what it has been for the last three years, and the exact opposite of what you're attempting to propose it is.
