Magmahunter
I'd say build the necramech and rank it up with a archgun that you already have ranked? I'd assume they grant mastery since they are ranked up like everything else. The kitguns (and by extension the saws) only give mastery for their barrel (or strike for saws) only. That, and unfortunately we do have a glitch that Danielle did address (they aren’t granting mastery atm due to it). I’m not sure if PC had it though. It not being in the Profile is a bug. You also can't see Necramechs at all in the Codex, including enemy ones. I also don’t plan on getting one for a long while so I couldn’t check. Also not everything; the “new” Kitguns didn’t grant mastery. Wasn’t sure if that was something they were doing or not. Jemmies
Best way to check is to look at your Mastery points in your profile, rank up the Necramech one time, then check the Mastery points again.
