(PSN)Knirhim
The bug: After casting infested mobility on a freshly leveled frame, the parkour velocity bonus will stay; further casts will keep adding to the bonus, which stays on after subsequent casts and after the ability duration expires. Basically, it starts to build up until the mission ends: falling out of bounds did not reset this either. The replication: I suspect it's a result of me having replaced Rhino's (lvl 0 at first) iron charge with Infested Mobility (on configuration A), I then went to a quick Sanctuary Onslaught (don't think the mission type matters, see links for further info) to level him up, during which I gained at least 10 levels and Infested Mobility leveled up from rank 0 to rank 1 as any normal ability would. After seeing how much of a difference in speed my bullet jumps and rolls were having vs the normal speed and momentum, I decided to test this interaction to see if it could be replicated (as it'd be easier to bug report) First attempt: Using the same Rhino loadout, modded with Umbral Intensify at rank 8, Transient Fortitude at max rank and Augur Secrets at max rank as well, I went into Deimos to, basically, see how far it would go. After around 60 casts, I could easily fly from one corner of the map to the other on a single bullet jump > aim glide > roll. Here's the recorded replication of the bug during this first attempt, it's a single gameplay session but had to put the recordings together Attempt no. 1 Second attempt: Wanting to confirm my suspicion of it being a bug related to leveling a warframe with a helminth ability, I took another frame with Infested Mobility to see how it'd interact with it; That being Limbo Prime, having replaced Rift Surge on configuration B. Modded with the previously mentioned mods along with Fleeting Expertise(max rank), Blind Rage (rank 6) and Power Drift (max rank), I then saw no difference from the expected intended bonus (jumping straight up would only reach around 13 meters, based on the waypoint). Casting 20~ 46 times made no difference. Attempt no. 2 My conclusion: Replacing an ability of an unranked frame may lead to unintended results. In this case, it could be related to having replaced Iron Charge itself (and be a result of interaction between iron charge's momentum and infested mobility's bonus, but that's just a theory), rather than a result of having placed Infested Mobility and then ranking it up through normal leveling.
