My feedback from Heart of Deimos

I visit the forum with a certain regularity, but this is my first time posting something, as I had an urge to expose my opinion.

I am enjoying this update so far, but want to point out things that could improve.

The progression system with the Entrati syndicate using tokens was innovative and I personally enjoyed it more than the others, the problem is that to use it effectively you have to do every activity, and not everyone enjoys every activity, mainly conservation. Neglect one of them slow you down, when on the other landscapes you just have to stick to one thing to be fine.

My only big problem so far is the lack of originality. Not in terms of visual design, but activities. I have only seen the core activities already present on the other landscapes: Fishing, mining, conservation and bounties. For me, in an ideal situation every landscape should have one or more original activity fitting for that place. When Orb Vallis released, it introduced conservation, which was fitting for the setting introduced, fishing was carried over from PoE despite not making much sense for the context caching robot fish, and later on, conservation it was retroactively brought to PoE, which now didn’t make sense for PoE setting and made Orb Vallis lose its identity activity. Now HoD brought everything back without meaningful change, and now every landscape lost their identities and we have three homogenized landscapes aside from the bosses, which Cambion Drift don’t have. So, I think DE played too safe and should have taken more risks with HoD.

I don’t have a Necramech yet, but as with any combat gimmick it falls to the question: is it worse than a Warframe? Because if it is worse, it may soon fall on the same category as archgun, that is useful in only 1 boss and never again, and K-drive, that is crushingly outclassed by archwing as a transport.

The grind is mostly fine, and fall in line with other landscapes, but I still think the Son requirements for the token are still way too high, even with the patch (and I enjoy conservation btw), and getting Scintilants are still a pain.

The compact map didn’t bother me at all, but I missed secrets that came with the other landscapes, such as the Thousand-year Fish and Fortuna Fragments, that flashed out the backstory of the place and its people.

What do you guys think?
