KinderHades Posted August 31, 2020 Share Posted August 31, 2020 Remove Disposition on rivens. create a new set of mods that fulfill the purpose of what disposition does. such as a base damage mod that ranges from 50 to 500 percent depending on the disposition. stacks with normal base damage mods like how rivens do. A critical chance and status mod that gives base critical change ranging from 5 to 50 percent. this would give weapons with very poor supplemental stats the ability to compete with the big boys. make rolling not such a pain interface change to show possible values spend kuva to lock a stat and increase the cost of future rolls spend a large amount of kuva to increase the total stats. a riven would start with a base stat mulitplier of 1 and you can increase this multiplier by spending 50k kuva per 0.1 increase up to a 1.5 multiplier. costing a total of 250k kuva to max the possible stats add way more possible stats to make rivens more interesting rather than just a pile of stats. such as on multikill increase blast radius by 50% for 7 seconds (refreshable) or on headshot kill refill the mag with 50% of the mag Make riven slivers more useful use 5 slivers to roll a riven use slivers to reroll the type of riven obtained. maybe 20 or so per roll. i have 400 slivers sitting doing nothing and i haven't farmed steel path since slivers are affecting by drop chance boosters. so those will keep going up if i can only use 10 per week. i think many would agree slivers need another purpose. why do i want these changes? Rivens don't serve the purpose they are intended to and when they are they are nerfed until they don't serve that purpose anymore. Rivens need a new purpose that better reflects what the player base uses them for. if yall want an example i have a great zenith riven that makes the weapon great for most content including steel path. but if a ton of people started using the zenith with great rivens as unlikely as it is. the rivens would get nerfed and no longer serve that purpose. another example is the jaw sword. no matter how great you make that riven it has abysmal supplemental stats only 8% crit chance and 1.5 mulitplier with 16% status chance. a 400% crit chance riven plus a r9 sacrificial steel's 200% and blood rush at 12x combo brings its crit chance to 108 percent. sound pretty good doesn't it until you look at other melee weapons like a zaw i use with 36% crit chance and 2.2 crit multi with only sacrificial steel and blood rush it has 345% crit chance which is triple the crit damage. to match my zaws damage mulitiplier from crit alone a jaw sword riven would need 3,360% crit chance and 440% crit damage. and thats just to match the zaw which has an extra mod slot since it doesn't need a riven. The problem is mainly it is % wise, a weak one with 300% damage will still not reach a strong weapon with 150% due the simple base stats being way to low. Rivens are cancer and should be removed, they only increase a market for it robbing people without knowledge of them and peopel orfit of it and DE itself does even if they not want to admit it, some peopel will buy a lot of platinum just to get a god roll Riven sadly.
