Modular companions and appearance

Why are we still forced to pick a set appearance to get the stats we want for our modular companions?

Back when we had Arcane Helmets, and Arcane slots in Syandanas DE agreed that we shouldn't be forced to pick stats over fashion. They split the system (albeit badly, since they didn't convert the Arcane Helmets into regular warframe-specific arcanes like the should have) so that we could be free to pick appearance and stats separately.

With that: Please change Moa, Predasite and Vulpaphyla companions to have independent stats and appearance options. Make all of the different model changes be part of the appearance menu (like Attachments is).

It doesn't hurt anyone to change, it adds more customisation, and everybody wins. It also opens up doors for more appearance options to be added without needing to add additional stat changes (since all of the Modular companions have a component that changes a polarity slot, for instance, there can only be as many appearance options as mod polarity options before we start doubling up). The same also works in reverse, if DE decide to add more armour types to Predisites/Vulpaphyla, they don't need to add new appearances.
